Career Portfolio Reflection Paper Congratulations! You have successfully made it through the Employability Skills unit that is part of your Introduction to Business and Marketing class. A lot of hard work has gone into it, but you now have a complete career portfolio that you should be proud of! Take a minute to think about what you have accomplished over these last several weeks… you began with a career interest survey, worked through the career planning process, researched your dream job, prepared and developed several resumes, wrote a cover letter, completed an employment application, practiced the interviewing process, wrote a thank-you letter, considered the characteristics of successful workers, and wrote a resignation letter. Now that you have gone through all of the steps in finding, applying for, obtaining, and resigning from a job, I would like you to write a reflection paper about the project. Please take this paper seriously! I want to know how you liked/disliked the project, what I should change or keep the same, and so on. You should go through your portfolio as you are doing this paper and think about each assignment you completed. Be as detailed as you can with your responses.

Guidelines: Double-spaced 12-point font (Arial or Times New Roman) 1-2 pages in length… absolutely no less than one full page Include a cover page with your name, class period, and the title “Career Portfolio Reflection” Questions to Answer: Is the job you chose as your “dream job” still one you are interested in pursuing? Why or why not? Which parts of the project did you find beneficial? What did you learn that you did not already know prior to this class? Which parts of the project did you find least beneficial? Why? (Think about… Is it something you already knew? How would you have liked to see it presented differently?) What was your favorite part about the project? Why? What is one thing you would change about the project? How would you change it, and why? How did you feel about creating and maintaining a portfolio? What do you think are the pros/cons of having to do one? Give an overall summary of your thoughts about the portfolio project. Is this portfolio something you see yourself keeping for future reference? Do you think it will or won’t help you in your job search? As a result of the portfolio, do you feel like you remember more, the same, or less information from this unit as compared to others?

This assignment will count for 100 points, which is a TEST grade, so please make sure to have someone read over your content, spelling, and grammar. You MUST address every question listed above, and you should elaborate on your response. Remember that this is a reflection of all your hard work coming together – you should be proud! Have fun & ask me if you have any questions 
