What we like Over the years we have come across a variety of tools, tricks, websites and services that we like a lot and would gladly recommend. Below you find a list that is continually updated with things that can help you in all sorts of different ways, either in your academic career or simply to make you feel good. Free Online Resources for Authors In the Age of Digital Enlightenment, more and more organisations are digitizing data and documents and making them available for free under Creative Commons Licences. These include historic documents, maps, photos, paintings, etc. All can be simply downloaded and included in books, powerpoints or websites, provided you credit the source. read more
Atelier Lukes Atelier Lukes is the place to be for kick-ass graphic design. Creative director Marta Klement worked with us on our Carthage book for the National Museum of Antiquities and will hopefully work with us on many more new projects that are in need of high-end design. They come highly recommended :) read more
Map of the Internet Ruslan Enikeev made a map of the internet, using the 350.000 most visited websites. Using special algorithms they are depicted as if one is looking at a star map, or a Hubble-telescope picture. read more
Sidestone Rocks It will come as no surprise that we like big rocks, and what better place to find them than at Stonehenge. read more
Everyone needs go juice In one of the small streets in Leiden there is a small coffee & tea shop called ‘Klaverblad’. They have amazing quality coffee and tea. read more
For bookcovers and artwork For most of our Bookcovers we use high-quality photos that we acquire at the photostock site Dreamstime. They have a collection of over 11.500.000 beautiful photos. read more
Online reading and publishing Sidestone Press is a full partner of Scribd.com, one of the 250 biggest websites in the world. Scribd is a platform where people can upload all sorts of documents and share them with the world. read more
