AIYEP 2012 (1) i Rate This

Sejak minggu 15 April 2012 smsan sama kawan seperjuangan a.k.a Rissa Nuris Mawar. “Udah ada belom si pengumumannya?” Ngarep banget soalnya bisa terbang ke Australia dengan ikutan program pertukaran pemuda ini.. Dua bulan di Australia gaisss dan you can do couple of tremendous activities both in rural and urban areas— part time job, kunjungan kenegaraan, pertunjukan budaya, dan home stay dengan native..! Mau banget SAYA! Setelah itu program tidak berhenti di Australia, tapi approximately 17 tim Indonesia akan memboyong 17 native Australia ke Indonesia to do various joyful activities juga! Bedanya dengan di Australia 34 orang tim Indonesia dan Australia akan turun ke desa selama 1 bulan terus conducting community development, interacting with local Indonesian, kunjungan kebudayaan, and more. Ngebayanginnya aja sudaah melting..

Kenapa hiburan,

Pertama, ujian tulis yang terdiri dari 100 soal pengetahuan umum Jakarta itu membuat saya menyadari, saya ga tau apa-apa tentang Jakarta, tanah kelahiran saya. Coba aja, pertanyaannya seputar geografi Jakarta, pakaian adat, kebudayaan, makanan tradisional, dll (baca: dan lupa lagi). Pas baca soal mesem-mesem sendiri, banyakan ga taunya.. Jeng jeeeeeng.. Lolos ke final ga yaaaa? Just wait my next blogging ya gaisss..

Immortal Story i Rate This Dedicated to all learners of English Language, who burn their midnight oil to master English as their Second Language” [TEST-Word Power] This writing is neither proposed for independent writing task as a part of IBT section nor ruining my bunch of love for TEST-English School, but honestly to killing my insomnia time. It is hard that my recent time is vanished by counting down day-by-day to face my TPO and real IBT test. Instead of awake along night, thereby, my pleasure is recalled memories about my a-2month journey in Tulungrejo Village, Pare, Kediri, East Java, indeed, my story completed with my motivations, my first 2-week lessons, my 6-week lessons in TEST-English School, and also the dearest part—jovial gang along this journey. Then, the immortal stories begin here. The hardest problem after I resigned from my latest job in last 2011 is dared to strive for my passion, and one of step had to pass is improving my English skills. Seeking a partner accompanying my journey becomes the hardest thing, for my mother forbid me to go without any friend, as a result my plan study in Pare threaten to be cancelled. God’s hand is always close to all learners, and I found Ms. Siska as my savior. Finally, at 7 January 2012, 2C and 2D seats on Harapan Jaya bus are not along as empty seats. Praise to Allah, the Almighty, because my a-20-hour bus travelling success arrived me at Pare safely. You have to try it when your back-bone is like vanished and amorphous. What a tiring journey! What up next? I trust that buoyant experiences are ready explored in front of me. Blind of direction is not preventing my curiosity to know that new place—where my dreams cultivated and grew up. My first class is in Mr. Bob English Club, speak up 2, motivation class where the trainer, Mr. Bobkayaraya, courage the members to speak automatically—without thinking, without hesitation because of shyness, grammar consideration, or more. Here, a-mistake in speaking is a must. A-2-week class is extremely run fast. In another class, pre-TOEFL class at Elfast, honestly, I little bit bored but I got much grammar instead of practice in TOEFL. Uniquely, even though Elfast has gnawed motto: too much grammar will not kill you, classes always full of learners. I assume that Pare is full of motivated people improving their English skills. Always rainbow appeared after rainy day, through this way Allah kindly led me to understand about taking stepping stone before jump high. God is omniscient but we are known not. Once again, God guide me the way to pursue my dreams with perfect scenario. After my first 2-week class, many friends suggest me to join in TEST-English School, the most expensive English course in Pare for boosting my TOEFL score in my last 2-week. Then, my new period to learn English start here. For the first time, along with my little aunt “Ochi” I meet TEST’s officer shocking us with his blowish curly hair, Mr. Rizky ;p. Interestingly, although our feeling full of doubtful and uncertainty about TEST quality, Rizky’s brainwashing success to make us join the ITP TOEFL Class. Two days next, we amazingly meet Mr. Coudiys, titanic and baldy one , another TEST’s mentor to complete the registration. Indeed, following days are mysterious, but we never know that jovial experiences are waiting you impatiently. ITP class is not only doctrine us with new knowledge about TOEFL ITP preparation but also build our habit. Mr. Eddy, the owner, ever said there are not folly people; only diligent or lazy people make a difference. About this, I totally agree, so that my learning team is fully excited killing the time by finishing ITP question kits. In main class, it is uncountable time when I blink my eyes because of great tricks and trips learnt to answer TOEFL structure quickly. Awesome methods learnt in structure, listening, and reading classes make us score higher in daily night scoring. We learn how to omit incorrect distracters fast within 0,8 second time for one number of structure question, analyze grammatical errors by using eleven extracts, or use “kanan-kanan, kiri-kiri method” in reading section. Honestly, I am not familiar with the terms of SQ3R, the 5-comma theory, or others; the important is applying theories in tests. Furthermore, you actually never forget how well Mr. David forces us to guess answers of listening section without any audio recording—we called it Nujum or Forecast Theory In simply way, ITP class in TESTEnglish School is exceedingly elated. Then, my come-back planning is delayed because of worth offering from Mr. Eddy to join his IBT class. And yes, we write good planning and Allah will edit it to another perfect planning! I take a chance and once again dared myself to learn more. My first main class in IBT is writing class, and oh God, I feel to bolt because other mentors are in similar class – is it advanced class? It is plight when you are around great people whereas you are only the dwarf one. Perhaps, in Japanese comic, my tears are unstoppable and dark clouds suddenly come along with thunders. I never write free essay previously, and now the class pressure me learning fast or you are become a loser. I would like to say very thankful indeed for Monsieur Coudiys for his 20-paragraph essay assistance. You are one of the best, Sir IBT class, consist of reading, listening, speaking, and writing class every 4pm, is not cover enough to boost our skills in IBT, especially for me L. So, Mr. Eddy suggests us to join other classes. There are two classes we joined: academic reading class with Mr. Coudiys to support IBT reading and writing sections and speaking class with Mr. David to make automatic speaking skill to provide IBT speaking section. In academic class, our skill catch topic or main idea in passages regularly improvised through speed reading method, note-taking skill, and also paraphrasing sentences into 5-paragraph essays, at least. On the other hand, in speaking class our reading, note-taking, synthesizing, and paraphrasing skills are fully combined to make argument speaking skill in discussions. We discuss related to great themes: when and why end of Pare, when the First January occurred, Hitler and also big issue like the end of time, or conspiracy theory, for instance. Can you imagine how busy we are through the days? #emphasizes :). As true learner, there is no time for grumbling or tired because there is no place for a slob.

Well, among kinds of IBT test, personally, speaking is the hardest for me. I usually hesitate, being stutter and felt blank. There are, at least, two ways that Mr. Eddy gave to solve this problem: to be familiar with the question forms coming up repeatedly, help yourself by planning remedial practices. Firstly, we should know the question pattern that all answers in speaking question should include introduction, body (s), and conclusion. We ought to memorize kinds of sentence might used to open speaking, support the argument by inserting some examples and also close the speaking safely by making introduction restatement. The second, we should create time to practice more because it is good to build reflect on speaking. We practice along day both in main class and independent class (read: Mr. Eddy’s room). Sometimes, we record our voices and feel embarrassed after listen it again—what exactly you speak formerly? We also practice to bring oral presentation related to short movies. Guys, can you remember tightly about social media, think twice, solar energy, or multiculturalism videos? Those all are such a great speaking classes. Six weeks in TEST-English School class success enough to make a family instead of usual relationship. In a-2-week ITP class, I find great mates in my learning team. It is happiness mentioning all of them: Ms. Resti, our beloved mother; Hanib “ya iya kale”, Indah FF the long-woman, and Ochi my dearest “dongsaeng”. We are not only study together but also make a dream together Another jovial family is my IBT class-mate: Ms. Dhini “sipit”, the most excellent wakaciut in IBT class; Rissa “bulat, my hubbub friend, Ochi “kumis” the oldest among us :), and also Mr. Alesandro Sarlano del Pierro, whom spend his whole time for IBT and GRE practices. I kindly make a friend with interloqui-dome members: Mr. Iyun , mafia from Hongkong; Mr. Sahroni, the Hitler; Mr. Yasin, 9-band man in IELTS writing; Mr. Ridwan, Rissa’s subject; Mr. Adi, congratulation; and pinky, Mr. Eddy’s piglet. Allah gives me miracle met with great people like you in TEST! All is my beloved family in Pare. Wiseman say that great trainer lead the students to be different and excellence. Here, in TEST English-School, trainer is like a friend. Can you remember, how warm our class when Mr. Eddy shrieks: “oi jamaaah nomer sekian…” or in other chances shout: “Wakaciut and Wakalanud…”. Mr. Eddy is the greatest and omniscient one. Then, Mr. Coudiys, we called him Mr. Suju Lover, the one and only taught us by replaying Suju-Happiness MV before the class, teaches many things from academic-reading class to politic class Mr. Jarwo and Mr. Yusri are trainer in writing class, you can learn much from them: grammar writing, developing or organizing ideas in writing. What is more, my first impression with Rizky is his amazing curly hair. Next is Mr. Raqib—Mr. Longman, Mr. Manner, Mr. David, or what else you called him. You will never forget his accent: “Manner, manner!”, “don’t speak bahasa yaa!” The subject is great when stimulated us in speaking class. The last is Mr.Ayus, the fabulous (Rissa style). One day I should learn pronunciation with you, Sir.. They are totally inspiring mentors. I am very thankful indeed for guidance. In a fact, my journey is never stopped in Pare because the real life is in front of me. Even though all tears and sadness are accompanying my way to Jakarta, it should convert to successfulness in my following day. Yes, this immortal stories are never met the end because we create with ambrosia—love. Note: If Mr. Eddy read this, for sure, the subject will yield “bissssssaaaaanyaa kau tulis gitu timeh, saya pusing baca tulisan kau itu” with the subject’s original tone.. If Mr. David read this: “bedakan yaa bahasa tulis dan bahasa lisan”, if Mr. Jarwo read this: “jumping ideas”, if Mr. Yusri read this: “your grammatical is poor”, if Rizky read this: “tulisan beginner”, If Mr. Coudiys read this: “jangan salahkan saya kalau band kamu tidak sembilan” Posted in Life Tagged Allah, Arts, East Java, Education, English, English Language, God, TOEFL Leave a comment February 17, 2013

Abdussayap i Rate This Teman, Kita akan kemana? Terbang? Terbang tinggi ke langit?Dan merasakan kecilnya dunia kita. Merasakan lembutnya awan dan membawanya pulang? Teman, Kita mau ke mana? Terbang tinggi ke langit? Merasakan betapa bermartabatnya itu? Merasakan betapa membanggakannya ketinggian itu? Teman, Sayap-sayap itu memang akan menerbangkan kita. Tinggi dan menjanjikan. Teman, Kita memang harus terbang. Agar dunia tahu kita ada. Dan tinggi. Tapi teman, Jika hanya menambah berat beban. Biarkan kita tetap disini. Biarkan Ia izinkan kita menjemput kejayaan disini. Di bawah sini… Di kesederhanaan ini… Kawan, Mari bersayap dan meninggi Tanpa menjadi abdussayap
