Re: 3cxphone Destination not found when dialing outside numb The 3CX log, of a failed call would probably show what the problem was. As a guess, I would say it is something to do with how the outbound rules are set-up, since you can call other extensions.

The inbound problem may be a firewall/router issue, or possibly a STUN, or even a local port conflict issue. Once again the 3CX log, of your remote sets registration may help. It should show your public IP and local port number. leejor, Nov 9, 2012

Extension Groups & Rights Time-Based Scheduling
I can call extensions and get calls from extensions but I cannot receive or make outside calls.
Advanced Installation Option
By "office system". I assumed that you , meant a 3CX PBX. The log that I mentioned, is one in that particular PBX, that would explain the reason that your outside calls are not going through. If you are using another make of VoIP PBX, then you would have to have a chat with someone that maintains it, and see if they can trace what is happening with your failed calls. There may be something that recognizes that you are not located on the local LAN, and thus prevents you from placing outside calls, in an attempt to prevent toll fraud. The fact that you can call, and receive calls from, other extensions in the office, make me think that something like the above, may be in play here.

I have a Grandstream 2120 that connects and makes and recieves calls through the tunnel. The grandstream is very choppy though. I feel the tunnel does not provide enough Band Width. I would like to register it straight through the internet too but am lost up to this point. Buddyl, Nov 15, 2012

By default 3CX extensions are not allowed to make calls from outside the lan. I dont think it is your problem but check the Other tab for the extension and it down there. The phone made the connection to 3cx as you see a failed message in 3cx. It said Not Found. So maybe an outbound rule not set for this extension or the number dialled? Need to see more logs than that 1 line

You have that a lot - No Known Route To Target. So you dont match an outbound rule. markshehan New Member Joined:

You have to have an outbound rule and each rule has to have at least 1 criteria in it.

Re: 3cxphone Destination not found when dialing outside numb So your Grandstream was dialling 17195651000 and went out through your Grandstream gateway over the PSTN line. But you dialled a 4807971069 number and was refused. markshehan New Member Joined:

So firstly on was an 11 digit and one was 10 digit (that does make a difference if rules not set up). Also one was to 480 and the other to 719 area code. Does the Gateway only allow to 719? You should have outbound rules in 3cx (there is an outbound rule menu)

Decided to check the ring groups and added it to them also.

Re: 3cxphone Destination not found when dialing outside numb I tried to setup my Grandstream direct instead of tunnel before and It did not work. I unchecked the disallow box in 3cx and will look for the procedures to set it up again and see if it works. The calls get real choppy through the tunnel. Buddyl
If not then at least the soft phone works.

Re: 3cxphone Destination not found when dialing outside numb Glad you got it working. Always easier when we can see the logs - even if it is a pain to post. Helps us narrow it down quickly markshehan New Member Joined:

I tried to setup my Grandstream direct instead of tunnel before and It did not work. I unchecked the disallow box in 3cx and will look for the procedures to set it up again and see if it works. The calls get real choppy through the tunnel.

If not then at least the soft phone works. Thank you again for your help.

I have hundreds of Grandstreams as remote connections and straight out the box. The easiest way to do it (with the latest firmware) is as follows: 1. Configure the extension in 3cx 2. Configure the public ip in 3cx (under network in setting) 3. Open the ports needed in your firewall (looks like you have that as you can connect) 4. Take the Grandstream into the office to the same lan and plug it in 5. Go to the Phones menu in 3cx, find the phone, highlight it and click add to existing extension 6. When it opens the extension, tell it to provision it outside the lan with stun. 7. Test it (doesnt always work as you are internal trying to connect to your public ip from your public ip - known as hairpinning, which a lot of firewalls wont allow) 8. Take it home and it should work and you can now configure changes from inside 3cx.
