Make Your Move in Four Simple Steps 1

GET STARTED • Ask your Financial Advisor or Private Wealth Advisor to open an Active Assets Account if you don’t already have one or if you would like to use a separate account for cash management. › Your Financial Advisor or Private Wealth Advisor will send you a Client Agreement form. Simply sign and return the Client Agreement signature page to your Financial Advisor or Private Wealth Advisor. Using e-sign can expedite the process. › Be sure to check the box to receive a Morgan Stanley Debit Card.2 › You will typically receive your checks and Debit Card five to seven business days after receipt of your signed Agreement. • Enroll in Morgan Stanley Online at morganstanley.com/online to view and manage your accounts anytime. Be sure to have your Active Assets Account number (available from your Financial Advisor or Private Wealth Advisor) on hand as you enroll. • Using your online credentials, visit morganstanley.com/app to download the Morgan Stanley Mobile App for the iPhone®, iPad® or Android™ to view and manage your account while you are on the go.3

GET ORGANIZED • Review your transaction history by referring to your three most recent statements from your previous financial institution or by logging in to your previous account online. • Use the Everyday Finances Organizer to collect information and help plan your move to Morgan Stanley. • Use the Deposits Checklist and Payments Checklist to inventory all your deposit sources and billers. With this list in hand you can easily track what needs to be set up with Morgan Stanley.

FUND YOUR ACCOUNT • Refer to the Deposits Checklist for detailed instructions on direct deposits, check deposits and funds transfers. • Contact your employer or other deposit sources (e.g., payroll department, Social Security Administration) to update your direct deposit information. • Move funds into your Active Assets Account. You can: › Deposit a check from your previous account via the Morgan Stanley Mobile App or at any Morgan Stanley branch, or › Transfer the funds online by logging in to morganstanley.com/online and proceeding to the “Transfers” tab, or › Ask your Financial Advisor or Private Wealth Advisor to move the funds electronically for you. • Be sure to leave sufficient funds in your previous account to cover all outstanding checks, fees and automatic withdrawals until the transition is complete. MOVE YOUR PAYMENTS • Use the Payments Checklist to track payments you wish to move to Morgan Stanley, including those to billers that you pay online or that use your card or checking account information for payments. • Set up all payments using your preferred method, such as automatic debits from your Morgan Stanley Debit Card or online with Morgan Stanley Payments (Bill Pay).4 • Update stored payment information with online retailers or other vendors. • Once your new payments are working smoothly and all remaining payments and deposits for your previous account have cleared, you can close your previous account. 2 of 11

Depositing Checks You can deposit checks into your account in any of these convenient ways: • Anywhere, anytime with the Morgan Stanley Mobile App. Available for iPhone®, iPad® and Android™ devices, our app lets you deposit a check drawn on a U.S. bank8 quickly and easily, with some of the highest deposit limits in the industry.9 It’s quick, convenient, and you’ll receive deposit confirmation. Note: Certain cash equivalent checks such as money orders and traveler’s checks are not eligible for deposit on the Morgan Stanley Mobile App. •  In person. Requesting Funds Transfers Transfers can be made into or out of your Morgan Stanley account, either at a set recurring frequency or as a single transfer request. Log on to Morgan Stanley Online or the Mobile App to initiate a transfer yourself, or your Financial Advisor or Private Wealth Advisor can help move funds electronically on your behalf. To take advantage of this service, log onto your account on Morgan Stanley Online and enroll by clicking the Transfers tab or sign and return the Morgan Stanley Funds Transfer Enrollment Form to your Financial Advisor or Private Wealth Advisor. Use this checklist to help keep track as you redirect all online or recurring payments to your Active Assets Account.

List your online or recurring payments below, using your three most recent statements from your previous financial institution or by viewing your previous account online.

Check the desired payment method for each of these payments and then take the appropriate action. It may be helpful to first make a quick call to each company that you pay automatically to understand their payment change process. • Morgan Stanley Payments. To enroll in our online payments service, visit Morgan Stanley Online and click on “Payments.” Once a biller is set up, you can make payments online or with the Morgan Stanley Mobile App. You can choose an available date for the biller to receive payment. Bill payments can take up to four business days for the payee to receive.  Added Benefit — Send Paper Checks With Our Online Payment Service You can also use Morgan Stanley Payments for billers that don’t accept electronic payments or for payments to people you know. Just enter the name and address of the recipient when prompted, and Morgan Stanley will mail them a check. • Auto Debit. If you have previously provided the biller with a debit card or checking account number, provide each biller with your new Morgan Stanley Debit Card or checking account information. • Other. Update stored payment information with online retailers or other vendors.

What do I do with the organizer and checklists in this guide? The organizer and checklists are provided for your personal use, as tools to help you organize and track the process of moving your cash management from your previous financial institution to Morgan Stanley. There is no need to return these materials to Morgan Stanley. If you have any questions, please contact your Financial Advisor or Private Wealth Advisor.

How do I order a Morgan Stanley Debit Card and checks? When will they arrive? You can request your Debit Card and checks on the Client Agreement when you open your account. Your order will be placed as soon as your signed Client Agreement is received in the branch, and the Debit Card and checks typically arrive five to seven days later. You can also order or reorder your Debit Card and checks on the Services tab on Morgan Stanley Online.

How do I apply for one of the Morgan Stanley Cards from American Express? There are three ways to apply:

• Apply online at americanexpress.com/mscards. • Call American Express at 877-263-9607.

Is overdraft protection available? No, overdraft protection is not available. However, you can enable Margin10 on the Active Assets Account. This may increase your Available Funds11 and may reduce the likelihood of a service disruption at a merchant or ATM, or having a check returned.

Morgan Stanley uses an agent bank, UMB Bank, N.A., to process checks through the Federal Reserve on behalf of Morgan Stanley. As a result, UMB Bank will appear on your checks as the bank of record, and may also appear when you make payments online through certain websites. You do not have an account at UMB Bank.

How do I deposit a check to my account? You can deposit checks into your account in any of these convenient ways:

How do I withdraw cash from my account?

• Contact your Financial Advisor or Private Wealth Advisor, who can complete the paperwork for you.

What is UMB Bank?
