The electronics company uses this natural bioactive process of ionisation in its plasmacluster technology. The Sharp KC-C150E air purifier safely and reliably eliminates a range of particulates from the air, including house dust and pollen. Thanks to the intelligent combination of an air humidifier, two plasmacluster ion generators and a dual-filter system, consisting of odour and HEPA filters, the Sharp model significantly outperforms conventional air purifiers. The net-like intake panel on the rear of the appliance draws in the unfiltered air quickly and effectively. The new tubular air nozzle aligned at an angle of 20 degrees then projects the purified air at high speed into the room. This ensures a significantly increased air circulation rate and an enhanced effect of wellbeing. Sharp’s very particular benefit lies in the patented plasmacluster technology: two special plasmacluster ion generators split the water molecules contained in the room air into their component parts, viz. hydrogen and oxygen. The generators then emit these positively and negatively charged ions, termed cluster ions, into the room air. Since the ions carry an electric charge, they attempt to reform into water. In doing so, they are deposited on various particulates in the air and inhibit their harmful effect. Sharp’s KC-C150E achieves its particular effectiveness as a result of its additional air humidifying function: the emitted water mist ensures an especially large number of cluster ions and even better air purification. The integral dual-filter system, comprising odour and HEPA filters, performs intensive preliminary work. It dependably eradicates house dust, pollen and relatively large suspended particles from the room air and neutralises unpleasant odours in this initial stage. The odour filter can easily be removed from the appliance and washed to maintain its long-term performance. The cluster ions are distributed throughout the room together with the air which has already been purified twice by the filter system. Here, among other things, they dissipate nicotine odours, prevent certain moulds from being able to germinate and reduce the negative impact of various bacteria. The KC-C150E also lastingly eliminates odours adhering to textiles such as curtains or clothing. Heating systems often cause extremely dry air in rooms, particularly in winter. The air humidifying function which can be enabled when needed counteracts the static electricity in very dry rooms and inhibits certain pollutants which are active in dry rooms. With its attractive design and compact dimensions of 39cm x 62cm x 28cm (width x height x depth), the KC-C150E is designed for rooms up to 48 square metres in size.
