I am a former "research physicist", now retired.I worked also on solar cells. I have a way to make a cheap and very efficient (27% or more) solar cell. I am wonder if someone will get in touch with me? 22

The "Disadvantages of Solar Power" are only depending on the efficiency of the solar panels (solar cells) and the sizes of batteries. The batteries getting already smaller because of electrical cars. And Solar Cells, China is spending more money on solar cells than the USA. We are spending more money on wars. Are we doing better? 2

Because they do not know better! China is now the leader when are we (the USA) are going ahead? We could make them cheaper in this country! Our power companies do not want it! The have a reason (money)! 1

I agree with this post. I also believe that though there are disadvantages of solar energy it is still one of the best alternatives so far in producing free electricity. For more information please visit http://solarservicingsa.com.au

The provider of our solar panels has gone into liquidation and has been found to be in breach of a number of regulations. Where do we stand now as we had s guarantee and they were supposed to come out to check them yearly?

Conclued very well. Now the solar panels price is cutting down and there are many portal solar power system with Li batteries. So the disadvantage can't be in consideration. We are wholesaler and retailer of solar energy, such as home solar panel kits, solar panels, solar energy batteries, solar light bulbs. If you have demand to install solar power system for homes, please contact us

Hello Alex, Nice post. Solar Energy is truly the main source of energy on earth and we are just using 0.001 percent of it, it should be used in order to prevent non-renewable sources of energy. Also solar energy is the most important form of energy it can be diverse in various forms.

That guy, very interesting what he said and true but not always the newest, spoke more with his hands and body than he really had to say! He is young and exited but "cool" heads do the experiments! I am wonder if he knows what the "efficiency" of a solar cell (panel many solar cells) is and how it is defined? I guess, he is still going to a college and just repeating what the teachers tell him.

All you have right above are true, specially the disadvantages of using Solar Panels. It is really expensive it may take a long run to match your initial investment. Even these solar panels maybe expensive, it was renewable, free of installing it will really help you save energy in the process. We have installed panels last year and I must say it is worth it!

I do not need some. Since you make them, you might be interested in my approach? I used to work as a research and also as a staff physicist for different companies. If I am remembering right, I got already 27% efficiency and very cheap manufacturing!
