Email Me Professional Organizations American Agricultural Economics Association The AAEA seeks to "the leading organization for professional advancement in, and dissemination of, knowledge about agricultural, development, environmental, food and consumer, natural resource, regional, rural, and associated areas of applied economics and business." Dues are required for membership, but students can join at a discounted price. North American Agricultural Marketing Officials NAAMO "is an international organization of the State and Provincial government agricultural marketing officials who provide both domestic and international marketing services to the agricultural and food industries in their states and provinces," and is a subsidiary of the National Association of State Department of Agriculture.

American Farm Bureau Federation Farm Bureau is an independent, non-governmental, voluntary organization governed by and representing farm and ranch families united for the purpose of analyzing their problems and formulating action to achieve educational improvement, economic opportunity and social advancement and, thereby, to promote the national well-being.

Food and Agriculture Organization The FAO of the United Nations "leads international efforts to defeat hunger" and seeks to "help developing countries and countries in transition modernize and improve agriculture, forestry and fisheries practices and ensure good nutrition for all." International Food and Agribusiness Management Association "IFAMA's mission is achieved through providing members with multiple vehicles for information sharing, knowledge advancement, discussion and debate, networking, and career development." They offer a variety events and publications. Membership is offered to professional and government workers, as well as students. Student membership is offered at a discount. International Foodservice Distribtors Association (IFDA) A trade group which offers detailed information on the process of foodservice distribution in several countries. The IFDA focuses on food used to create meals that are typically eaten away from home, such as school cafeteria lunches and restaurant dishes. Grocery Manufacturers' Association (GMA) An organization of U.S. food and beverage manufacturers dedicated to improving healthy lifestyle choices to the benefit of their customers by addressing food-related social issues, including product quality and hunger relief. Livestock Marketing Association (LMA) The leading advocate of the livestock marketing industry. The LMA offers its members legal assistance, public policy representation, industry information, insurance products, and an array of other services. National Grain & Feed Association (NGFA) A non-profit trade association providing services for grain, feed and related commercial businesses.Its activities focus on enhancing the growth and economic performance of U.S. agriculture. National Oilseed Processors' Association (NOPA) A national trade association which represents a variety of seed crushing and processing industries, including soybean, canola, flaxseed, safflower seed and sunflower seed. United Agribusiness League (UAL) A trade association which focuses on providing innovations for the agriculture industry. The UAL offers its members assistance with applying with agricultural trade regulations, advocates for agricultural policy in order to contribute to a healthy industry as a whole.
Government Info AgNic (Agriculture Network Information Center) A voluntary alliance and partnership of nearly 60 member institutions and organizations working to offer quick and reliable access to quality agricultural information and sources. AgNIC is supported, in part, by the USDA’s National Agricultural Library. Census of Agriculture (USDA) The Census of Agriculture, taken every five years, is a complete count of U.S. farms and ranches and the people who operate them. The Census looks at land use and ownership, operator characteristics, production practices, income and expenditures and more. Commodities Futures Trading Commission The CFTC's mission is to protect market users and the public from fraud, manipulation, and abusive practices related to the sale of commodity and financial futures and options, and to foster open, competitive, and financially sound futures. Economic Reports of the President An annual report written by the Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors. It overviews the nation's economic progress using text and extensive data appendices. Economic Research Service (USDA) The economics of food, farming, natural resources, and rural America. USDA Newsroom Each Briefing Room offers an in-depth discussion synthesizing Economic Research Service research and the economic issues that frame the analysis. Foreign Agricultural Service (USDA) The FAS of the USDA works to improve foreign market access for U.S. products, build new markets, improve the competitive position of U.S. agriculture in the global marketplace, and provide food aid and technical assistance to foreign countries. Illinois Agricultural Statistics Service Agricultural statistics available by state and county. USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) Illinois Field Office is operated in cooperation with the The Bureau of agricultural statistics, Illinois Department of Agriculture. Illinois Department of Agriculture News and information about agriculture in the state of Illinois. Index to USDA Agricultural Economic Reports Includes listings for printed USDA Agricultural Economic Reports and links to full-text USDA Agricultural Economic Reports on the Internet. National Agricultural Library (USDA) Access NAL publications and newsletters as well as a variety of agricultural databases. National Agricultural Statistics Service (USDA) The National Agricultural Statistics Service provides timely, accurate, and useful statistics in service to U.S. agriculture. USDA Economics and Statistics System The system contains nearly 2500 reports and datasets. These materials cover U.S. and international agriculture and related topics.
