Years of climbing on the road documenting only with handsewn sketch books held together by dental floss, dumpster foraged cardboard, composed murals and other found materials were the norm before I touched my first camera. The joy of shooting and sharing mountains through moving images of changed everything. I was swept into the torrent of technology and stories to be told. Sometimes I yearn for the simpler days of canvas and crayons but trips like this remind me of my roots as well the potential ahead.
