My Tetris Experience: A Brick Game Enjoyment Do you remember the time you were playing “brick game”? That was the time when game boy, ipad, personal computer, psp, and trending gadgets are not yet available. Not only kids but also adults get addicted on it. It was 80s then when even I got to close my room door and focus on my levels. The higher the better…the more it becomes challenging!

Restaurant in Puerto Galera you will enjoy most! Are you craving while having the best beach hopping in Puerto Galera? Do you know where you can find the best food in town? Well below are the common and best foods you can taste while having your best trip in town. Always remember that for every restaurant you can have the best taste of different dishes you want. 1.) Sadyain Restaurant – Since ‘90s Sadyain is very famous on its original lomi. Lomi or Pancit Lomi is a Filipino-Chinese dish made with a variety of thick fresh egg noodles of about a quarter of an inch in diameter (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lomi). They call it “Lipa’s Pride”. Its location is on the central part of the town. You can ride a tricycle and tell the driver the place. You just pay ten pesos if you within the town proper. 2.) Sabang Fast Food – It is located at the center of Barangay Sabang. It is well known on its American (Big) serving. The taste of food there is natural and delightful. Actually when I taste the entire menu, they have a standard in cooking. But my favorite on the list is the chicken cordon bleu and chicken spicy with coconut milk. Moreover, they have the biggest serving of buko shake and other shakes in town.
3.) Atlantis Tokos – If you love an extraordinary burger with a bang, then I am sure that we have the same taste. Atlantis Tokos Restaurant, offers the best burger in town for your craving stomach. Its patty is giant chicken strips with mayo, bacon, and lettuce with a hash brown. Then one of my favorites is their Mongolian buffet which surely you’ll like while enjoying the ambience of their resto. You’ll choose from a selection of freshly cut meats, seafood and vegetables stir fried to order. Quick, healthy and filling – the perfect divers lunch. Atlantis can be found at the center of Sabang Beach. www.atlantishotel.com/ 4.) Tina’s Restaurant – Being one of the best Filipino foods is my choice also. If you want a peaceful ambience with a Filipino style dish then Tina’s restaurant is the best for you. It is located on the west side of Sabang Beach.
5.) Luca Cucina Italiana – This is the best Italian restaurant I ever enjoyed in Puerto Galera. They have the biggest pizza, I ever tasted. Moreover, they offered variety of pasta and pizza including my favorites, seafood delight. The place is cozy and relaxing which is located at the end part of Puerto Galera going to Occidental Mindoro. To be able for you to go there, you need to hire a tricycle, a jeepney or a motorcycle. Employee demand: Salary hike? I was inspired by this cartoon sketch. Why salary doesn’t grow on which most of the human basic needs increased? Let’s take a look on our current situation. Mostly graduate students are looking for a secured job for their day to day consumption. I think, a normal Filipino or individual even overseas, they just prefer to work rather that building their own business to earn. An employee earns a regular salary rate base on his competence and skill sets. But if you have unique skills such as Information Technology (IT), Instrumentation Engineering, Welder, and the likes probably there’s a chance for you to soar high and have a better rate than an ordinary employee at this moment. We are talking with the global market and not just for Philippines alone. The main reason why an employee stuck up with in it is the incapacity to do extraordinary things which an employer is looking at. Because solely on his own, just want to be plain and be on the box of his work without thinking outside of that box. Why salary is stagnant? This is because of the limit on economic growth of a certain country. It is a mere battle of many company unions at this time. The fight for salary increase, the petition for salary hike and so on. But since, companies always hit the target income annually; they are also controlling the financial stability that affects decision on salary adjustments of a certain company. If the company is reputable and maintain the pro people, they gave a better salary. Why we are shallow? (Repost) This one's from F. Sionil Jose, one of the Philippines' National Artists for Literature. (Philippine Star: 12 September 2011) (I really can't blame him for writing articles such as this, as it is true somehow...) I was visited by an old Asian friend who lived here 10 years ago. I was floored by his observation that though we have lots of talented people, as a whole, we continue to be shallow. Recently, I was seated beside former Senator Letty Shahani, PhD in Comparative Literature from the Sorbonne, watching a medley of Asian dances. The stately and classical Japanese number with stylized movements which perhaps took years to master elicited what seemed to me grudging applause. Then, the Filipino tinikling which any one can learn in 10 minutes; after all that energetic jumping, an almost standing ovation. Letty turned to me and asked, “Why are we so shallow?” Yes, indeed, and for how long? This is a question which I have asked myself, which I hope all of us should ask ourselves every so often. Once we have answered it, then we will move on to a more elevated sensibility. And with this sensibility, we will then be able to deny the highest positions in government to those nincompoops who have nothing going for them except popularity, what an irresponsible and equally shallow media had created. Media Noche Preparation It was 31st of December when I was tasked to buy food for our media noche. Our home is far from the city. There were two municipalities before we reach the capital of Oriental Mindoro Calapan. With me is my brother, nephew, niece, and my sister in law. It was about one and a half hour before reach Jollibee – Calapan. A short breakfast with my chicken sausage breakfast and of course my favorite brewed coffee. Here in the Philippines, media noche is a mere tradition to make a New Year bountiful and meaningful. On my list I have, prawns, crabs, chicken, twelve different of fruits, and fireworks. Since I am expecting a crowded place, I tried to find a meat stall very far from the main entrance. But maybe I will be lucky this year, every time I went to the stall there were more and more people coming, that is why a lot of sweat flows on my head. The most exciting part is when Governor PA Umali tapped by shoulder and greeted me “Happy New Year”. I was shocked at first since, I didn’t know him well, and it’s the vendor who told me that he is our governor. Without hesitating, I pull out my phone and ask the vendor to take a photo with him. I was lucky then when he decided to buy fruits on that stand and people as usual go there to buy their twelve fruits for their mess hall. After that we went to Robinson Mall and buy some merchandize and eat in an Italian restaurant as we crave of pizza.
