A simplest way to save water in the world with no cost as follows: Step 1: At a washbasin – Just turn water tap maximum and measure total volume of water in a minute. That’s around 9 liters or more. Step 2: There is a knob below every wash basin. Step 3: Turn it little to reduce water flow. Step 4: Water tap maximum volume of water in a minute should be equal to 6 liters or near it. So, you save water 33% or more at the wash basin with no cost, time, or much effort. This makes it to be the Simplest way to Save Water in the World and it comes with no cost. Having lived in Yuma Arizona for most all of my life and seeing the farming that supplies most ground crops from November thru mid April to the entire country I can see the water problems here first hand as the Colorado is drying up long before it hit the Mexican border next door. If California would begin building desalt plants very quickly all along their western boundary with the Pacific Ocean from the Mexican border to the Oregon state line they could completely stop taking the largest percentage of the river they now draw. Having the Pacific as the western shoreline and NOT taking the water to use for everything from drinking to farming to refilling their reservoirs is simply beyond stupid. Complaining of a draught in the entire state and having that much water lapping the entire coast of the state is like saying I cant wear shoes when owning the shoe store. The NIMBY folks who say Not In MY Back Yard type thing need to have their water just shut off until they come around...Sorry I have absolutely NO sympathy for the entire state when the answer is at their feet at waters edge.

In our city we have a desalinization plant designed to remove the salts and chemicals in the Colorado before it goes into Mexico as part of a treaty we signed decades ago. It has never ran at more than a 10% operation and has the ability to clean the river of whatever the chemicals used from the farming in our and California's runoffs from farming operations. If we can have a plant of this type so can every city and county entity in California along it shoreline. I truly believe this the answer to most of the west coast water problems, most definitely the problems of the might Colorado Rivers problems

An Eastern Connecticut pig farmer managed to turn a previously virgin stream an it source into a run off for pig waste from 300 pigs. They claim to be saving heritage breeds, but in reality they are destroying a water source. No farm is worth that.
