State: Assam › Guwahati The Govt. of Assam has notified the Assam Minorities Development Board as the Nodal Agency for implementing the Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme since its inception in the year 2008. However, due to several constraints including lack of awareness, implementation of the scheme has not been on schedule and many deserving Minority Students are not able to avail the benefit so far.

Dear Admin !! No doubt some of the Minority community is getting benefited by the various welfare schemes issued by the Govt of India, but as per my observation its just a shells of the coconut. As being the high officials you peoples should raise the awareness camp among the minority community in the district involving all the schemes available & how to proceed to get our rights. I seen the list of the association & societies who are benefiting with the govt allotted funds, but maximum numbers are still missing. I don't know why it is so? May be our representatives are less knowledgeable or may be they are not bothering for the same? Even some of the well registered association under societies of regd. Act are lagging behind to avail this facility. I feel its all due to lag in awareness of the allotted facilities. Just for ex. our full family comprises of 4 children along with parents; all are well qualified ( masters & above) did not received any availed facility under minority commission; but we know now that we had lots of facilities, including reservation in Govt jobs. Bad part is not yet being spoken by district minority representatives about the facilities as nobody approached us till date. Its painful to see some families of our community who are devoid of proper way to earn their living's. it is very shameful to our Assamese people that.we all are lagging behind in different field..due to our corrupt MLA/MP and our great Trauns party...they are exploiting us in diffident aspect.for exam in andhra pradesh , Tamil nadul..they all are in too advanced then us.we have no any awareness scheme among the people.day by day we r going to lower standard..pla do something for goodness of our Assamese pple!!! • Reply • Share ›
