As a matter of principle and irrespective of the legal reason, our liability is limited to gross negligence and deliberate intent, unless the law provides for additional compulsory liability. Limitations on space at the premises allocated for the conference place restrictions on the number of participants who can be admitted. In spite of considerable efforts to plan ahead, it is impossible to exclude the possibility that individual parts of the event that can be visited with Day-Tickets will be completely full. There is no legal entitlement to participation or to a reduction in the admission fee for this reason!
The following conditions will be considered to have been accepted on registering for the event. Convivus has been appointed by the event organiser to handle organisation, programme coordination and the care of participants. The contract will come into effect on registration as a participant and following presentation of convivius’ invoice. All prices quoted in the participants’ registration form include value added tax. Registration and payment Registration as a participant is only possible by using this form or the online registration facility, which can be reached via the event homepage. Admission fees can be charged to your bank account or your credit card (Eurocard/Mastercard, Visa). The SEPA direct debit procedure is only possible for bank transactions with convivus within Germany. Your fees may be collected by direct debit by granting convivus a blanket mandate for this congress. In order to shorten your waiting time at the conference counter, you are requested to bring your completed registration form with you. Admission pass Admission passes may be collected at the conference counter.
No liability can be accepted for programme changes or delays in events. The event organiser reserves the right to change the time and location of events. This also includes the cancellation of individual items in the programme. This will not entitle the participant to cancel his participation. Compensation claims for this reason are excluded. The organiser undertakes to notify participants as soon as he is aware of necessary changes. The organiser assumes no guarantee that the speakers who have been announced will in fact take part. Failure of speakers to attend will not entitle the participant to any kind of compensation whatsoever. The organiser will endeavour to remedy the situation by providing an adequate equivalent. The current status as regards speakers may be found in the online publication, subject however to a deadline of one week prior to the event. For technical reasons, subsequent changes are not possible. The organiser reserves all rights. The rights of third parties are reserved. Neither the organiser/printer nor the publisher is liable for erroneous reports or descriptions in printed materials or on the home page or for the failure of such reports and descriptions to appear. Liability for the contents of advertisements and the reproduction of original texts from third parties rests solely with the advertiser or author concerned. There will be no right to compensation. The place of fulfilment and jurisdiction for both parties is Nuremberg. Cancellation A processing fee of EUR 50 per person will be charged in the event of cancellation by 18.6.2018, thereafter the full admission fee will be charged, even should the participant not attend. Cancellation will only be valid if made in writing (by post to convivus, Neuwieder Straße 9, 90411 Nuremberg, fax or e-mail). Data collection By registering, the participant declares his consent to the collection and storage of his personal data in the congress data bank. convivus will use this data in order to secure the offers applied for by the participant. You will find comprehensive information under http://www.convivus.de/agb.php A list of participants will probably be issued on the occasion of the iSEnEC 2018. The name, address and the company/institution on this list will be forwarded to others taking part (participants, speakers etc.) at the same event. This is conditional however on consent to publication being given at the time of registration. Personal data will be processed by the organizer as the controller within the meaning of data protection law, and where applicable by our service partners, with due regard to the data protection regulations applicable to the support and information provided to participants and interested parties and the performance of the offered services (legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 letter b EU-GDPR). In accordance with the principle of data minimisation and data avoidance, only that data which is absolutely necessary for the aforementioned purposes will be processed. Personal data will of course be treated as confidential and protected as best as possible by means of appropriate security measures. Only authorised persons engaged in providing technical, commercial and customer administration support will have access to your data. Naturally, appropriate job processing agreements have been concluded to the extent legally required. Personal data will be retained until the contractual relationship with the organizer is terminated and also until the data is no longer needed for other legal reasons (e.g. due to statutory retention periods). Every participant has the right to complain about this data processing to the competent data protection supervisory authority and may demand, subject to fulfilment of the legal conditions, information, rectification, erasure or restricted processing, object to the processing or assert his right to data transferability. The organizer has an interest in cultivating the customer relationship with its participants and providing them with information and offers about its own similar events and services. Therefore, the data transmitted with the submission of the application (company name, address, telephone/fax number and e-mail address) will be processed by the organizer and where applicable by its service partners to transmit appropriate event-related information and offers by e-mail in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 letter f EU-GPDR. Objection to the use of data for purposes of direct promotion can be notified to the organizer at any time; this also applies to profiling if it is directly related to the direct advertising. Once the objection is notified, the data will no longer be processed for this purpose. The objection can be notified without observing formal requirements and without indication of reasons and without incurring separate costs aside from the customary transmission costs at basic rates.
