Functions The muscular system is composed of specialized cells called muscle fibers. Nearly all movement in the body is the result of muscle contraction. We use muscles every day and are important to everyday life. We use our muscles to lift, pull, or use force. Muscles are responsible for all the movements you make. Every time you move, you use some muscles. Muscles are a very important part of your body. Muscles give us energy so we can do different activities like playing sports.

Major Organs Some of the major organs are facial muscles, shoulder, arm, forearm, thorax, abdomen, hip, and the thigh. The muscular system helps the movement of some organs like the stomach and intestines. The muscular system consists of skeletal muscle, smooth muscle, and cardiac muscle.

Different types of muscles

There are three different kinds of muscles in our body: cardiac, smooth, skeletal. A cardiac muscle is a of striated muscle found in the walls of the heart. A smooth muscle is a of non-striated muscle, found within the arteries and veins, A skeletal muscle is a of striated muscle, usually attached to the skeleton. Skeletal muscles are used to move by applying force to bones and joints. There are 639 skeletal muscles in the human body.In the muscular body there are ten parts of the body where you can find muscles those ten are the: facial,neck,shoulder,arm,forearm,thorax,abdomen,pelvis/thigh,hip,and the leg.

How it works

One of the most amazing things about the human body is the incredible range of movement and mobility it has. This day to day activity is accomplished by our muscles through the amazing ability of converting energy into movement. Muscles are often viewed as the motors of the body. They help move food from one organ to another, and carry out movement. Without muscles you couldn't open your mouth, speak, shake hands, walk, talk, or move your food through your digestive system. There would be no smiling, blinking, and breathing. The muscular system works by the lever system.

How it works with other systems (at least 3 different systems) The cardiac muscles is the muscle of the brain itself, and cardiac muscles are the tissues that makes up the walls of the heart. Skeletal Muscles move and protect the bones in the body. Skeletons can bend at joints when muscles pull on skeletal elements. The nervous system works with the muscular system because the neurons of the nervous system are connected to most of the cells in your muscular system, and before touching something you have to think it. You have smooth muscles that line your digestive system and help move food through your intestines, so the digestive system is also one. And then the circulatory system because a smooth muscle also surrounds your circulatory system which then helps blood to move easily.

Disorders of the muscular system Neuromuscular diseases affect the muscles or their nervous control. Problems with nervous control can cause seizures or paralysis, depending on the location and strength of the problem. A large proportion of muscle disorders leads to problems with movement, ranging from a stroke and Parkinson's disease to Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. Facts

-Eye Muscles are the busiest muscles in the body. Scientists estimate that the eye muscles move over 100,000 times a day. -There are nearly 650 skeletal muscles in the human body. -Contractions of the muscles can be short, single contractions or longer contractions. -Muscles are viewed as the machine of the body.
