Make sure the business plan accurately reflects what you’re going to do and is realistic. Complete the financial information section. Take steps to put yourself in a position to be able to execute the business plan including identifying industry experts in your area and learning best practices from them. It’s a good idea to get a second opinion, by asking someone you trust to read your business plan.

Find an investor
Do your homework on your prospects and seek out investor groups that specialise in your industry. Before you go into a meeting or presentation, make sure your know your business plan inside out and can talk to every aspect of it, including the financial information.
