The Review, Update and Delivery of a Working Near Water and Ice Safety Training Request for Bids (RFB) for The Review, Update and Delivery of a Working Near Water and Ice Safety Training Program
Scope of Work The objectives of this RFB are as follows: 1. The Vendor will deliver training for the following Ministry’s existing Working Near Water and Ice Safety Training Program on an as-needed basis. The program consists of the following courses: • Working Near Water – classroom/non-entry • Working Near Water and Ice – e-learning module • Working Near Water – Field Practical • Working On Ice – Field Practical 2. The Vendor will review and/or update Existing Training Program materials for the above courses on an as-needed basis. Background The Ministry is committed to promoting a healthy and safe working environment for its entire staff, and is continuously looking at ways to reduce or eliminate risks in the workplace. As such, Ministry health and safety policy requires that front line compliance, abatement and technical staff involved in field work near or on water or ice are required to take formal training related to knowledge and skills for working near water and on ice on a three (3) year rotational basis. This training is required for approximately 500 field staff. The Ministry is issuing this RFB for the review and update, as required, of the existing Working Near Water and Ice Safety Training Program courses and materials as well as the delivery of the associated courses outlined in Section 3.1.1(with the exception of the Working Near Water and Ice – e-learning module).
All amendments to the associated notice, including amended documents, plans and specifications (where applicable), are issued by the originator of the notice.
