Idea Transcript
On August 4th, Decca Records celebrated its Silver Anniversary. During its 25 year history, Decca has pioneered many new ideas in the record business including the recording of original Broadway shows. Many of the greatest names in entertainment have at one time or another recorded for Decca and are still recording for the label today. The company has also met with great success through its subsidiary labels, Coral and Brunswick. Gathered around an appropriate “record cake” sporting 25 candles are: (1, to r.) Milt Gabler, Vice President in Charge of Artists & Repertoire; Sydney Goldberg, Vice President and General Manager; Milton Rackmil, President; Leonard Schneider, Executive Vice President; and Martin Salkin, Vice President.
