Community Leadership Program Overview

This program aims to: build the confidence, capabilities and networks of people in the South Burnett to lead themselves and others to prosperity and resilience; and strengthen the viability and sustainability of businesses, organisations, communities and industries Participants who apply what they have learnt from the program will have:
Improved knowledge of themselves, each other and the ability to share personal strengths for the common good; Improved ability to influence positive change in themselves, their families, communities, businesses and industries; Improved ability to work with others; Greater capacity for self-reliance, including the capacity to be proactive and approach change positively after analysing its implications; Greater confidence and courage to act; Improved relationships across the region, with shared trust, knowledge and processes to collaborate effectively on existing and new initiatives.
Program Facilitator McAllister Leadership is a consulting and training business owned by Pamela McAllister. Pamela presented the Building Rural Leaders Program for eight years and continues to promote the knowledge and skills of leadership in her current consultancy work. Pam is passionate about supporting rural communities to achieve their potential and be prosperous and sustainable and has been involved and supported this Program’s establishment and will be the Program’s presenter.

Cost $ 2,200 per participant (includes GST)

A limited number of scholarships may be available for candidates that do not have access to a sponsoring organisation. Refer to the application form for further details.
