Concert Policies Concerts will be held at the end of each 12-week session. Dates will be confirmed early in each session.

Fall Session: Formal Concert in early December, a 2nd or 3rd concert often added with other community music groups and/or at nursing homes or other local facilities Spring session: Concert in late April or early May, a 2nd or 3rd concert often added with other community music groups and/or at nursing homes or other local facilities The first goal of every concert will be to bring glory and praise to God, focusing on a reverent and "serious" concert atmosphere. Students will be taught the importance of formal concert etiquette and stage presence. There will also be more casual opportunities for the choir to perform in the community such as nursing homes and community events. The choir will also occasionally perform with the Elizabethtown Community and Technical College choral group (The ECTC Choristers) as well as the MACCL Youth Orchestra. Most concert repertoire will be sung by the three separate choirs, but some pieces will blend all the age groups together. Choir members are encouraged to invite friends, family, community and church members to the concerts. Concert Locations Concerts will be held at various locations, usually churches. There will be at least one concert each semester. Choir members are encouraged to make suggestions for possible locations to hold formal concerts. Specific needs for formal concerts are:

Audience seating for approximately 150 - 300. Choir space/stage/choir loft. A stage with steps in the front is best, so that choir risers would not be needed. A well-tuned piano in excellent condition. In some instances, an electronic keyboard will suffice, but a piano is definitely preferred. A concert location in the Elizabethtown/Radcliff area is preferred. Concert Attire Treble Choirs (provided by individual members)

Alterations will be made by Dress Coordinator if needed. Moms who are willing and able may also make alterations - hemming, shortening shirt sleeves, etc. Girls will receive their dress and guys will receive their tux shirt in time for the Fall/Winter concert, and will turn it in at the end of the year. Students who join for Spring semester only will have a fitting and receive their dress approximately midway through the semester. Girls

This will usually be the final spring concert, or may be a community event such as singing at a nursing home or at graduation. Students should bring neat clothes to change into after the final event of the year in order to turn in their concert clothes. A few volunteers may be needed to help with laundering the choir uniforms at the end of each semester.
