NAHAM’S 40TH ANNUAL EDUCATIONAL
CONFERENCE & EXPOSITION 15
In Memoriam:
Opening General Session and Joseph Denney Keynote Address with Jake Poore
Joseph Denney, 1950-2008 Joseph Denney was NAHAM’s president from 1990 until 1992 and served in practically every other volunteer position with NAHAM over many years. He was a tireless supporter of NAHAM and an advocate for strengthening the role and profile of Patient Access Services in the provision of healthcare. Joe contributed immeasurably to the development of NAHAM and forged countless friendships with fellow members of our association. By vote of the NAHAM Board of Directors in 2008, it was decided to permanently name the opening keynote presentation in memory of Joseph Denney.
Wednesday, May 14 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Grand Ballroom Jake Poore spends most of his time in the trenches of healthcare institutions. You may find him shadowing a physician in the emergency department, learning the needs of the sterile processing department, or delivering food with the food service team. For the past 11 years, Jake and his team at Integrated Loyalty Systems, Inc. have helped many healthcare organizations, including University of Chicago Hospitals, UPHS-Penn Medicine, Ochsner Health System (New Orleans), MedStar Visiting Nurses (MD, DC, VA), and National Rehabilitation Hospital (DC) make successful cultural transformations. In addition, ILS has contributed to creating patientcentric blueprints for organizations like the University of Colorado Hospitals, Jersey Shore University Medical Center, and BJC Healthcare’s Progress West Hospital.
