By being culturally competent in health care, health care professionals can understand a patient’s diverse values, beliefs, and behaviors, and customize treatment to meet the patients' social, cultural, and linguistic needs.

Featured Resources: Cultural Training Series: Diabetes Among South Asians (3 part-series): Address health disparities by leveraging new insights into how beliefs, practices and values related to dietary, social, environmental, and spiritual domains influence diabetes self-management through three case studies.
