Overview and history Denplan was created by two dentists, Marilyn Orcharton and Stephen Noar, in 1986. They created a system that aimed to simplify administration within the dental practice.[2] Denplan allows dentists to charge their patients[3] a fixed monthly fee that provides them with regular examinations and treatment. In addition to personal dental payment plans, Denplan also provides corporate dental cover for employee benefit schemes[4] and Denplan pupil cover for Schools.[5] On 20 December 2011, Denplan announced that it had been sold to Simplyhealth.
