to be true bypass, quiet, clean. Also there is a lot of kudos for the analog overdrive section on the net, and personally it's about the worst I've heard; there is very little dynamics available there... nothing like a good overdrive pedal where you can play soft and it's clean, dig in and it's dirtier the more you dig in. 4/5/6 strings bass is easily recognized by the tuner. H9s. Then I sold the H9s ad bought the Fractal FX8. After 6 months of using the latter 2 way more expensive, and thus supposedly better fx systems, I really missed my NOVA System, which , to my ears, educated by 30+ years as a professional touring freelance guitarist for over 100 major-label artists, simply sounds superior , and is far easier to use effectively than product of its kind ever made to this point.
