Our Toronto Doors The Doors of our Daily Life
Introduction Our Toronto Doors is about your doors and my doors. It is about the doors of our relatives, our friends, our neighbours and the strangers around us. Our doors are part of our daily lives. They are as unique as the people who live behind them. Even the same door will look different in another entrance, another house or with different decor. Some doors hold street numbers, some hold mailboxes and still others have peep holes or door knockers. Some are decorated for different seasons and others are not. But all doors are important, for they offer us security, they shelter us. Behind them, inside the home, people spend a lot of time. Time with family, time with friends and time alone. We open our doors to welcome family and friends. And at times we open our doors to strangers as well. Doors are used to make a statement to beautify the home and at times they are even used, when shutting them softly or loudly, to make a statement of our emotions.
