General objective At the end of this course the learner should be able to;i. Demonstrate positive attitude towards self-employment ii. Identify viable business opportunity iii. Understand factors likely to affect the success of a business iv. Acquire management skills necessary for running a successful enterprise There has been a great deal of confusion and contradiction in literature about entrepreneurship; it is however interesting about entrepreneurship came about into existence. Adam Smith looked upon an entrepreneurship as the process of owning business to which he/she supplies the capital, therefore the classical economist‘s lumped interest and profit together. Cantillon after separating the called entrepreneurship from capitalist recognized it as a separate process that has a definite function in an economy. comments (0)
