[email protected] The aim of ergonomic approach to the process of teaching and learning is to improve the quality of student health, so that expected results of their study will also increase. Teaching and learning science technology society approach in the department of Biology IKIP Saraswati Tabanan not yet ergonomic rules because the results of preliminary research be discovered: (a) size of the seats and desks of students not in accordance with the anthropometry of the students; (b) placement of the blackboard is not adjusted to the height of the eyes of students in a sitting position; (c) placement of the screen OHP/ LCD is not adapted to the height of the eyes of students in a sitting position; (d) writing on a transparency and the writing power point not meet the rules of ergonomics; (e) lighting a room for reading and writing less than 350 lux; (f) the microclimate in the room study was not adequate so that it can interfere with learning; (g) Teaching methods applied by lecturers still use the discussion of information, so that forcing the students sit in the long time period. The research method used treatment by subject design, with a total sample of 20 people who are determined randomly. The experiment was conducted on 14-15 April 2010 in the Department of Biology IKIP Saraswati Tabanan. Collecting data by questionnaire nordic body map, and questionnaire 30 items of rating scales. Mean, standard deviation and range of data were analyzed descriptively. Shapiro-Wilk Test used to test the normality of data. Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test is comparability test different effects before and after teaching and learning to identify changes that occur in variable MSD, and students subjective fatigue.
