Fall Group Size: Small Group
There is something about autumn that is almost magical. Fall brings out the kid in everyone, whether it’s going out to pick apples in the orchard or hiking in the woods while breathing in the crisp, fresh air. There is so much to discover with all the changes going on around you, which creates the perfect time to have a scavenger hunt. Fall Bingo (A Scavenger Hunt)
1. Print off one Fall Bingo card (see above) for each person. 2. Pick an area to hike or just walk around your own neighborhood and explore. 3. As you discover something on your card, mark it off. 4. Continue until someone makes a line either across or diagonally. You can even continue until the card is fully crossed off, if you so desire. Note: On a rainy day, turn Fall Bingo into a memory game by printing off two cards and cutting out pieces. Turn them over and mix them up. Take turns around the table flipping two cards over each time in order to find a matching pair. If a match is made, the person repeats their turn; otherwise, play continues around the table. The game is over when all matches are made and the person with the most cards is declared the winner. "Play Ambassadors" help spread the word about available Let's Play grants and reinforce the importance of play through original blog posts based on our own individual experiences. We are parents just like you and believe every child should have a safe place to play.
