GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING SERVICE The Company is engaged in carrying out soil investigation for different types of projects like proposed Residential or Commercial Complexes including High Rise Towers, Flyover Projects, Railway and Road Over Bridges, Dams, Weirs and other Water Retaining Structures. For this, the Company operates Rotary Calyx Drill Machines which are operated by highly skilled operators assisted by skilled helpers fully trained to carry out various in-situ tests like SPT, Vane Shear Tests, Dynamic Cone Penetration Test, UD Sampling and very efficiently drilling in rock using Double Tube Core Barrels. The site Investigation Bore Hole mapping and logging, is done by site supervisor having extensive field training in logging of samples and identifying the various types of soil and rock strata. This logging is hen further checked and scrutinized by Site Degree or Diploma Holder Engineer experienced in identifying of stratum in Geological manner. The Site Engineers also maintain a strict check on various in-situ tests carried out in bores and further ensure proper selection of samples for testing in laboratory. The Company head along with Geotechnical Consultants conduct site visits to check and verify the Engineers logging and quality control over testing and sampling.

Pressure Meter Test Services The Pressure meter (PMT) essentially is an insitu measurement device for both stiffness and strength. The Pressure meter tests are insitu loading tests executed by the expansion of a cylindrical cavity. The hole in this case is usually prebored and the stresses are exerted on the walls of the cylinder drilled in soils or rocks by means of a pressurized fluid acting on one or several inflatable membranes. The stress field created around the probe has a vertical axis of symmetry and a probe of sufficient length creates an approximately plain strain condition perpendicular to its axis. This relatively unique combination provides boundary conditions that simplify the analysis of the test data.

Rock Anchoring Services Rock Anchors are proposed to resist the uplift force that might be induced on the foundations due to hydrostatic pressures, wind loads etc or to control the tilting or buckling of Piles / Diaphragm Walls in case of shoring systems for resisting active and passive earth pressures. Rock anchors are basically of two kinds; a) Passive Rock Anchors b) Prestressed Rock Anchors Anchors are installed by drilling a hole of suitable diameter, installing H.T. Steel Strands or bent up bar in the hole, cleaning the hole and then grouting the hole as per specifications laid down by the designer. The grout in the hole needs to satisfy two parameters. Firstly it should provide adequate strength so that it shall not crack when an uplift force is applied on the bar. Secondly it should provide ample amount of friction between the grout and the walls of the bore hole such that the desired uplift resistance or force is mobilised. Prestressed anchors are then stressed and locked by bearing plates and wedges to required capacity

Resurrection of Drainage Systems of Dam We have had a long history of having worked on Dams for solving problems and in the process we have identified some few problems which are perennial to almost all the dams across India which are more than 15-20 years old v Choking up of Vertical Porous Drain Pipes (VPD), due to which water is not drained through galleries. Instead leakage water tends to come out from the downstream face of the dam, leading to development of unwanted pressures in the dam body. v Choking up of Gravity Drain Pipes due to leaching action ultimately leading to flooding of Foundation Gallery. v Non functioning of Drain Holes in the Foundation Gallery due to leaching or grouting material. This leads to huge uplift pressures on the base of the dam. We have high powered machines which are custom made and hydraulically powered like the flexible drilling shaft and the vertically upward drilling rig for cleaning of the same.
