The Greater Raleigh Sports Council promotes Raleigh and Wake County as a major market for youth, amateur, collegiate, and professional sporting events and organizations. In addition to hosting its own exciting events in 2013/14, the Sports Council will support the 2014 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament and the 2014 U.S. Open and U.S. Women’s Open in Pinehurst. Be a Team Player Become a player on greater Raleigh’s team. By joining the Greater Raleigh Sports Council, you can build Raleigh into a powerhouse in the world of sports. The Sports Council brought the CIAA Men’s basketball tournament, USA Baseball’s headquarters, and the IRONMAN 70.3 to the Triangle and provided support during the 2011 NHL All-Star weekend.
