tech-brad Mar 9, 2015 at 12:21 PM @boyakashaThat script looks interesting, ive been doing the manual delete restore of the GMTupload folder, can you explain the twain part though? I haven't had any issues with that.I was referring to keeping the deleted files in document import Greenway says to clean it out manually every month. Can't seem to select multiple documents so you end up clicking delete, click yes..rinse and repeat @boyakasha That script looks interesting, ive been doing the manual delete restore of the GMTupload folder, can you explain the twain part though? I haven't had any issues with that. %uFEFFI was referring to keeping the deleted files in document import ________________ @boyakasha, this was posted by tech-brad which led to my further questioning. you responded but did not answer the question referring to having to delete each import one by one while the page reloads to the top of the list each time you choose to delete one lab from the import documents location. %uFEFF

Hi, I'm going to have to work on a project that involves Greenway PrimeSuite. Does anyone happen to have a data dictionary or can point me to some documentation? Glancing through the posts on here it looks like that might be asking for too much, but I can hope. Thanks in advance!

Serrano Boyakasha Aug 12, 2015 at 7:29 AM

Slvbce, sorry, I missed your question. I don't know of a way to mass delete imported docs in PrimeSuite, but admittedly, I don't use the program. I've never heard it mentioned as an issue. Daristotle, I don't know of any sort of data dictionary regarding PS. It doesn't mean that one doesn't exist, but I haven't seen/heard of one. I would definitely ask support.

Pimiento daristotle Aug 14, 2015 at 12:04 AM

Boyakasha - I'll give support a try. Also, would I have to ask them for documentation on HL7 interfaces or would anyone have that handy? Thanks again.

Jalapeno tech-brad Aug 14, 2015 at 12:15 AM

Are you trying to integrate a third party application Daristotle?

Serrano Boyakasha Aug 14, 2015 at 12:19 AM

Daristotle, Yes, support should be able to hook you up with all of that. They like to charge money for their interfaces though. They want to route all inbound interfaces through their Prime Exchange service.

Pimiento daristotle Aug 14, 2015 at 12:39 AM

tech-brad - I'm actually looking to extract some patient data for a project that's coming up for me. I'm not sure what all Greenway supports. It sounds like they are super protective of any information I would need. :/

Sonora markflatford Aug 14, 2015 at 9:24 PM

Daristotle, There is no data dictionary for running reports - at least that Greenway will give you- They will however charge you a hefty sum to create a report to extract your data for you - in a report. Sorry..

Pimiento carriepipkin Sep 22, 2015 at 9:43 PM 1st Post

Daristotle, Any chance you started your extracts? I have found will pulling the images they have GMT files. Looks proprietary. Did you find a way to convert those? I have pulled some data feed to import vitals /labs/Imm but now need the meat of the office visits. I can see the .pdf scanned images but not the encounters.

Pimiento daristotle Sep 23, 2015 at 10:26 PM

Hi carriepipkin, I have not. We've been getting the run around on getting access like other members have noted. I'm not sure what to do at this point.

Anyone ever set up folders to import PDF files into greenway?

Serrano Boyakasha Jan 13, 2016 at 3:23 AM

randaldurham, We currently import PDF's on a per-patient basis using the document import feature. It allows you to attaching single/multiple PDF files to a particular patient's chart. I don't know of any way to batch import larger numbers of PDF's and to have it auto-sort to patients (if that's what you're asking).

Serrano Aristi224 Jan 13, 2016 at 3:32 AM

randaldurham, we have folders set up that hold PDF documents (DXA scans and ultrasounds) that are sorted to patient charts by our Medical Records staff manually. Additionally, we have a folder set up to get NSTs in PDF form that get sorted to the patient charts automatically; however, this interface was set up by Greenway - it's not something we did on our own.

Pimiento randaldurham Jan 13, 2016 at 3:40 AM

I am trying to setup a folder that can be read from the document import list screen. I am sure there is a way to do this and I am just missing some of the pieces to make it happen. We host greenway on our own servers and I have been digging around their config xml files.

Serrano Boyakasha Jan 13, 2016 at 3:51 AM

The document import opens a windows dialogue box that allows you to browse anywhere. Any local folder or mapped drive should be visible.

Pimiento randaldurham Jan 13, 2016 at 3:56 AM

I mean the document import list. There is a way that it will poll all of the files in one folder so you can select through them in a grid.

Serrano Boyakasha Jan 13, 2016 at 4:00 AM

I've never seen anything like this. Windows will display things with previews, but the icons are often too small to read. Otherwise, you can pull all of the documents in to the left import column and view them specifically. Import the ones that you want to attach to the right column and save.

ChrisT. wrote: I have found a nice workaround for the fax folder issue in Greenway. Symbolic links now allow me to build virtual directories under the Fax folder that point to remote folders on other devices. So now I can select the current folder that is already setup to receive the faxes and use the symbolic link function in 2008 to create a virtual folder that Greenway looks at and process faxes from. For example from the Fax folder directory is issued with the command mklink /d .\\Sitexxxx \\\\something.internal.com\\Directory\\Path\\To\\Faxes Make sure that the faxes are in Tiff format (otherwise the documents will just disappear) and they will be moved into Greenway once you specify the new virtual directory in Document import area. (You select the specify document list option and modify the filter to include faxes and the folder name in the folder field.) Also make sure that the user permissions give rights to the sitexxxxxapp account on the local web/application servers to the fax source directory. (Or whatever account was used to run the services on the application server relating to Greenway)

I guess I was trying to do something similar to this post. We are trying to import faxes from Right Fax and I figured if we were able to fax to a virtual PDF printer which sends the pdf to a UNC directory path, we could then pick this up in Greenway. Greenway has a feature that I assumed was for something similar to this in the screenshot I provided.

Has anyone figured out a way to track how many connections an appserver has at a given time? I recently became involved with a practice using PrimeSuite and I'm trying to get an idea of which servers are seeing the most use. Ideally I'd like to see which machines are connecting to which appserver but I haven't found a way to do that reliably.

Poblano OCS Feb 15, 2016 at 10:48 PM

That sure would be a nice feature but as far as I am aware GW has no such animal. At a recent Engage I did hear of a home grown tool that is along the lines of this type of functionality. The good news is that the APP server tends to be the most stable compoenet of the entire suite.

Jalapeno tech-brad Feb 15, 2016 at 10:50 PM

I just asked a LVL2 tech this very question on friday and they had no answer for us to access that info. Be nice to hear more about the homegrown thing

Sonora mlierman Feb 29, 2016 at 9:30 PM

For anyone interested, I figured out a way to get an idea of how many connections each app server has. Using SQL server with an account that has SA access you can run the following query: SQL SELECT COUNT(SPID)UserCount, HOSTNAME FROM MASTER.DBO.SYSPROCESSES (nolock) Where LogiName = 'GreenwayPrimeUser' and program_name like 'Greenway .NET%' group by Hostname You won't be able to tell where the connections are coming from or how long they've been connected. I'm not convinced this is completely accurate as in the middle of the night 2 of our 3 app servers show a count of 1 while the other one shows ~30. All things considered, it's better than nothing and helps us manage the load. **EDIT** We just got a new app server installed and I ran some tests before releasing it to the wild. The numbers given from the query are definitely not real user counts. The server has been idling at around 10 and jumps up to 25-35 when I connect to it. Even so, if it is just active connections it can still help gauge which servers are being hit the hardest. Edited Mar 12, 2016 at 4:15 AM

We recently got our SQL access cut off, and are scrambling to figure out a solution while we dump our terrible hosting company. I'm looking into the report designer and noted that one can access the SQL database through the ADO object in the detail portion of the report. However, while I can populate the Field list based on a SQL query, I can't pull any actual data. Anyone have any ideas? I feel like it should be possible, since I can get into the database structure. I've tried unbound reports in the scripting portion, but when I try to execute a report, the VBA throws an error on Line 1.
