Have You Heard?… by Maria Ibáñez / March 24, 2014 Greetings, looking out our window today you could not tell that Spring has arrived. It is dark and gloomy and there is an eerie look of storms on the way. We had a wonderful weekend celebrating Jay’s birthday at Epcot and spending time with our “BFF”s (best friends forever) Clem and Jean Kinnicutt as well our son, Jessiann and Zara. The original plans were to take Jay to dinner at one of the countries in Epcot, however, he decided that he really wanted to go for dinner at the Lobsterfest for an all you can eat lobster meal. That is precisely where we took him on his actual birthday which was Friday; we spent Saturday at Epcot. Today marks the 2 nd anniversary of the passing of my dear friend and mentor, Cesareo Pelaez. If you are on the mailing list to receive this newsletter then you received a separate email today about Cesareo and his passing so I will not repeat myself other than to say…rest in peace my friend until together we can say “viva la magia”. MOST MAGICIANS IN A MAGIC SHOW Most Magicians in One Show On August 6, 2014 American magicians will break the Guinness World Record for Most Magicians in a Magic Show. The current record of 106 magicians was set in Germany in 2012. According to the Guinness World Records headquarters in London, each magician must perform for one minute. So, all you have to do is perform for 60 seconds. You can, of course, stick around to meet hundreds of professional magicians here in Colon, which The U.S. Congress recognizes as the Magic Capital of the World. (See Congressional Record, Page 12334, August 02, 1991.) Participation in the attempt to break the Guinness World Record is free. S.A.M. NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR FOR CONVENTIONS The Society of American Magicians Announces New Executive Director for the Society of American Magicans. Annual Conference Mark Weidhaas Takes over for John Apperson Parker Colorado— March 19, 2014 — At the Spring National Council Meeting, The Society of American Magicians announced that PNP John Apperson has stepped down as Convention Chairman. John has literally turned the Society of American Magicians National Conventions around. It is no secret that the Annual Conference had been losing money before he took over. Under his leadership all of our conventions have been profitable. We are very sad to lose John as chairman but the good news is that John has been training his replacement. Society of American Magicans President Dal Sanders has appointed PNP Mark Weidhaas as the new Convention Chairman and the National Council ratified the appointment unanimously. The Society of American Magicians feels confident that Mark is the one Society member with the experience and energy to fill John’s rather large shoes. I’m sure that all of you join us in thanking John for a job well done and congratulating Mark on his new position.

On the other hand, breathing automatically is certainly under rated and infinitely more enjoyable than not breathing. Es oscuro y sombrío y hay una mirada misteriosa de las tormentas que vienen en camino. Tuvimos un maravilloso fin de semana celebrando el cumpleaños de Jay en Epcot y pasando tiempo con nuestros “BFF” (mejores amigos para siempre) Clem y Jean Kinnicutt así como con nuestro hijo, Jessiann y Zara. Los planes originales eran de llevar a Jay a cenar a uno de los países en Epcot, sin embargo, decidió que él realmente quería ir a cenar en el Lobsterfest donde es todo lo que pueda comer de langosta. In Memoriam — Cesareo Pelaez Posted on March 24, 2014 by admin

Two years ago today the magic world lost not just a great performer but also a great man and a brilliant mind; Cesareo Pelaez lovingly and respectfully also known as Marco the Magi and patriarch of the longest running magic show Le Grand David. Myself? I lost my great friend, my incredible mentor and a man I miss each and every day; a man whose photo is on my desk, on my computer and on many walls on my home. Rest in peace my friend until we meet again and jointly will say “Viva la Magia!” I will leave you with a copy of what I wrote upon returning from attending his funeral services. Beverly, March 31, 2012 Cesareo Pelaez, “Marco the Magi” was laid to rest this morning after what was a very moving wake and mass. Countless hundreds of people came from as far away as England to pay their respects to the man who helped change the lives of a town and of all he came in touch with. Walking into Campbell’s Funeral Home was like walking through an enchanted garden thanks to the unbelievable amount of flowers that were received in his honor. There were photos of Cesareo, giant oil paintings which have hung at the theaters at other times, a very special painting of Cesareo in a suit, a different look for us who had seen him so often in his beautiful performance outfits. There were of course, members of Le Grand David Company, past and present there as well. The funeral wake was scheduled for 4-8 on Friday, however, members of the Company and a few of us were asked to be there earlier for a private viewing and time with Cesareo. It was a very special time for each of us and it was very meaningful to have our own few minutes with him. Shortly before 4 p.m. the line of those wishing to pay their respects started and it was a non-ending line which wound at times all the way outside the funeral home. David asked Jay and myself as well as a couple of other long time friends to be a part of the greeting line. It would take volumes and volumes to tell you about the touching, moving stories that some of those who came shared with us as they made their way down the line paying their respects. There were former students, fellow professors from his days at the University; those Cesareo had helped to get teaching positions; former members of Le Grand David. There were people who met at the theater and who had married and whose children had grown up visiting the show throughout the years. There were second generation admirers of the man, the Company and the show. Waiters and waitresses from restaurants Cesareo ate at, took turns on their shifts to come and pay respects. Doctors, nurses, hospice workers who had cared for Cesareo through the years came. Try as I might, I could not share with you the magnitude of the impact Cesareo Pelaez had on so many people. Dignitaries from all walks of life were present, the Mayor, members of government, banks, chamber of commerce, news media members who had written articles on Cesareo and the Company, clergy and more. The magic community was represented by Life Vice President of the Magic Circle, Henry Lewis, MIMC; Past International President of the I.B.M. Phil Wilmarth, MIMC; Most Illustrious President of the Society of American Magicians Vinny Grosso AIMC; S.A.M. Past National Presidents Brad Jacobs MIMC, Fr. Cyprian Murray MIMC, Gary Hughes MIMC, Bruce Kalver MIMC, and the writer, Maria Ibáñez AIMC. One of Cesareo’s dearest friends, Ray Goulet MIMC and his lovely wife Ann came from Watertown. Peter Lentross, Tom Gentile, Tucker Goodman, Eddy Gardner and numerous members of S.A.M. Assembly 104 also came to pay their respects. Following the wake, people driving past the Cabot Theater noticed the marquee had been changed to read “Thank You Cesareo. Vaya Con Dios”. Early this morning we headed back to the funeral home for a last chance to pay our respects and to see Cesareo. A brief while later, the procession of cars followed the hearse to St. Mary’s Church. The procession was led by the floral car, followed by the hearse, the limousine with Katie, Martha, Jane and some of the pall bearers, this was followed by David Bull’s car in which Jay and I were, then a line of vehicles which went for countless blocks. The ride took us round the block to the right, wound us round that block and brought us to a stop at the front door of St. Mary’s where the mass was held. Webster Bull was the planner and organizer for the mass. Having attended many Catholic funeral masses in my life, I can tell you without any reservation that this was the most touching and special one I have ever attended. The hearse was opened and pall bearers pulled the casket and cautiously and lovingly took it up the several steps to the front door of the church where they placed it on the bier to take it into the church. The Father came forth to meet us at the door and a drape for the casket was provided; David, Martha, and Katie opened it and spread it to cover the coffin. The Father, and Webster Bull carrying the cross preceded the draped casket carried by the pall bearers. They were followed by David Bull, Jay and myself, Katie Bull, Martha, Avrom and Ann Surath, Henry Lewis, Ray and Ann Goulet, Phil Wilmarth, Jane, Ellen, and the rest of the Le Grand David Company. Pews had been reserved for the members of the family up front. It was a full church that we walked into with not an empty place to be seen. The mass was very moving yet inspirational. Webster served as altar server. Communion was given to all who were prepared to receive it and blessings were given to all who desired but were either not prepared to receive communion or who were not of the Catholic faith. Readings were by John “Lapo” Laport, Ann Goulet and Martha Bull. The order was reversed as we left the church to go to St. Mary’s Cemetery. The funeral procession got underway once the pall bearers had placed the coffin back in the hearse. The cars went around several blocks as they made their way down Cabot Street and past the “home” Cesareo had built….the Cabot Street Theater. St. Mary’s Cemetery is an easy 10 minute drive from the church, it is a beautiful, old cemetery with almost symmetrical headstones. The top of the hill, at the very top and on the left hand side was the green canopy under which Cesareo’s body would be laid to rest. The funeral procession came to a stop at the top of the hill and all who came proceeded to the canopy area to wait for Cesareo’s remains to be brought forth by the pall bearers and the funeral director. The priest delivered a beautiful prayer and blessing for the soul of our beloved friend and a blessing and prayer for peace for all those who would miss Cesareo. Everyone was then invited back to the Larcom Theater where a lovely catered lunch was served to a couple of hundred people who attended the funeral. Cesareo R. His passing will be felt by the many people whose lives he touched, by the town whose course he altered with the purchase of that Cabot theater so long ago and by anyone and everyone who were blessed to have come in touch with him. Today the town of Beverly and the magic world is in mourning, Mayor William Scanlon has ordered the flags flown at half mast in honor and memory of Cesareo. Quite a road and magical life for the man who left Cuba so many years ago. I will leave you with the words on the memorial card from the funeral wake…. Yo? Yo perdí a mi gran amigo, mi increíble mentor y un hombre que heco de meno todos los días de mi vida, un hombre cuya foto está en mi escritorio, en mi equipo y en muchas paredes de mi casa. Beverly, 31 de marzo 2012 Cesáreo Peláez, “Marco the Magi” fue enterrado esta mañana, después de lo que fue un velorio muy emotivo y misa funebre. Incontables cientos de personas llegaron desde lugares tan lejanos como Inglaterra para presentar sus respetos al hombre que ayudó a cambiar la vida de un pueblo y de todos lo que tuvieron contacto con el. Entrar en la funeraria Campbell era como caminar por un jardín encantado, gracias a la increíble cantidad de flores que se recibieron en su honor. Había fotos de Cesareo, oleos gigantescos que han colgado en los teatros en otras ocasiones, una pintura muy especial de Cesareo en traje, algo diferente para nosotros, que lo hemos visto tan a menudo en su hermosa ropa de espectáculo. Estaban, por supuesto, los miembros de la Compañía Le Grand David, pasado y presente allí también. Se necesitarían volúmenes y volúmenes para compartiles las historias conmovedoras que algunos de los que vinieron compartieron con nosotros según pasaban por la línea a darnos sus pesame. Había antiguos alumnos, profesores compañeros de sus días en la Universidad; algunos que Cesareo había ayudado a conseguir posiciones de enseñanza; antiguos miembros de Le Grand David. Había personas que se conocieron en el teatro y que se había casado y cuyos hijos habían crecido visitando el show a través de los años. Habian admiradores de la segunda generación del hombre, la Compañía y el show. Los camareros y las camareras de los restaurantes donde comia Cesareo, se turnaban para venir a dar el pesame. Los médicos, enfermeras, trabajadores de hospicio que había cuidado de Cesáreo a través de los años vinieron. Por mucho que lo intenté, no podria compartir con ustedes la magnitud del impacto que Cesáreo Peláez tubo y en cuantos. Dignatarios de todos los ámbitos de la vida estaban presentes, el alcalde, los miembros del gobierno, bancos, cámaras de comercio, miembros de los medios de comunicación que habían escrito artículos sobre Cesáreo y de la empresa, el clero y mucho más. La comunidad mágica estuvo representada por el Vicepresidente vitalicio del Círculo Mágico, Henry Lewis, MIMC; Ex Presidente Internacional de la IBM Phil Wilmarth, MIMC, el Más Ilustre Presidente de la Sociedad Americana de Magos Vinny Grosso AIMC; Pasado Presidentes de la SAM Brad Jacobs MIMC, el Padre. Cyprian Murray MIMC, Gary Hughes MIMC, Bruce Kalver MIMC, y quien escribe, María Ibáñez AIMC. Uno de los más queridos amigos de Cesareo, Ray Goulet MIMC y su encantadora esposa Ann vinieron de Watertown. Peter Lentross, Tom Gentile, Tucker Goodman Eddy Gardner, y numerosos miembros de la Asamblea 104 de SAM también llegaron a dar su pesame. Al terminar el velorio, los que salian de la funeraria y pasaban por el Teatro Cabot se dieron cuenta que la marquesina había sido cambiada para que dijera “Gracias Cesareo. Vaya Con Dios “. Esta mañana temprano nos dirigimos de nuevo a la funeraria para una última oportunidad de ver a Cesareo. Un breve tiempo después, la procesión de coches siguieron el coche fúnebre a la iglesia de Santa María. La procesión fue encabezada por el coche de flores, seguido por la carrosa, la limusina con Katie, Martha, Jane y algunos de los portadores del féretro. Las lecturas fueron de John “Lapo” Laport, Ann Goulet y Martha Bull. El orden se inviertio cuando salimos de la iglesia para ir al cementerio de Santa María. El cortejo fúnebre se puso en marcha una vez que los portadores del féretro habían colocado el ataúd en el carro fúnebre nuevamente. Los coches recorrieron varias cuadras, y pasaron por la calle Cabot, por frente de la “casa” que Cesáreo había construido …. el Teatro Cabot. El Cementerio de Santa María esta a unos fáciles 10 minutos de la iglesia, es un hermoso cementerio, antiguo con lápidas casi simétricas. La cima de la colina, en la parte superior y en el lado izquierdo estaba el toldo verde bajo el cual el cuerpo de Cesareo iba a ser enterrado. El cortejo fúnebre se detuvo en la cima de la colina y todos procedieron a la carpa verde a esperar que los restos de Cesareo fuesen traido por los portadores del féretro y el director funeral. El sacerdote hizo una hermosa oración y bendición para el alma de nuestro querido amigo y una bendición y oración por la paz para todos aquellos que extrañarían a Cesareo. Todos fueron invitados al Teatro Larcom donde se sirvió un delicioso almuerzo donde asistieron un par de cientos de personas que estaban en el entierro. Cesáreo R. Peláez Pérez, 16 octubre 1932 hasta 24 marzo 2012. Su muerte será sentida por las muchas personas cuyas vidas el tocó, por el pueblo, cuyo curso se altero con la compra de ese teatro Cabot hace mucho tiempo y por todos los que fueron bendecidos al haber tenido contacto con él. Hoy en día la ciudad de Beverly y el mundo mágico está de luto. El alcalde William Scanlon ha ordenado que las banderas ondeen a media asta en honor y memoria de Cesáreo. . Have You Heard?… by Maria Ibáñez / March 10, 2014 Greetings, looking out my office window, the day is beautiful, sunny and bright, and I realize that this weekend we lost an hour of our lives with the mere turning forward of the clocks. Come Fall we will gain an hour by merely turning the clocks back an hour and so it goes year to year. I cannot understand why brighter people than I are unable to figure out what seems so clear to me….turn the darn clocks one way or the other for a mere half hour and then leave the time alone! Busy week with storytimes ahead of me. St. Patricks Day is as busy as Dr. Seuss Birthday parties are and I look forward to each of the shows and audiences with excited anticipation. We look forward also, to celebrating Jason’s birthday this coming Saturday. So proud of the man that our son has become and of what a great father he is and wonderful family he has formed. Just received word that one of Florida’s beloved magicians should be listed in the Good and Welfare column. Our friend Terry Harris finished a show for about 220 in the Villages February 8th, and while packing up fell down the steps. Terry shattered his right shoulder and upper arm. He had to undergo 6 1/2 hours of surgery to replace shoulder and upper arm. He will be undergoing physical therapy for at least 16 weeks. Our thoughts and best wishes go out to Terry as he recuperates and to wife Sue who we know is by his side throughout this health ordeal. We love you guys and pray for a full and speedy recovery.

You stay in there about three minutes—you can’t stay much longer than that—and chip out the old brick. I also drove tractors. I dug ditches. Escucho?… por Maria Ibâñez/Marzo 10, 2014 Saludos, mirando por la ventana de mi oficina, el día es hermoso, soleado y brillante, y me doy cuenta de que este fin de semana hemos perdido una hora de nuestras vidas con el simple giro hacia delante de los relojes. Llegando el Otoño ganaremos una hora por el simple giro de los relojes una hora hacia adelante y asi sera año tras año. No puedo entender por qué las personas más brillantes que yo no son capaces de entender lo que parece tan claro para mí …. demoles a los relojes de una manera u otra por una simple media hora y luego dejo el tiempo a solas! Una semana ocupado con cuentos por delante de mí. Día de San Patricio es tan ocupado como las fiestas de cumpleaños de Dr. Seuss son y yo disfruto de cada uno de los espectáculos y el público con anticipación emocionada. Esperamos también, para celebrar el cumpleaños de Jason el próximo sábado. Tan orgulloso del hombre que nuestro hijo se ha convertido y de el gran padre que es y la maravillosa familia que ha formado. Que el Señor continúe bendiciendoles hoy y siempre. Have You Heard?… by Maria Ibáñez / March 3, 2014 Greetings, we have had a very busy week with the Dr. Seuss birthday celebrations and all the activities we have either worked at or been invited to.

We are getting ready for this month’s statewide magic fleamarket, an event we look forward to each year, where we get to see so many friends from throughout the state that we don’t otherwise have an opportunity to see. Looking forward to April 12 th which will mark my 35 th year in magic. That, coincidentally, was the year that Dave Cresey started as a dealer. Miss the days of coinciding at conventions with him. MAGICIANS LIFE MICHAEL CARBONARO Production Underway for truTV’s New Series: THE CARBONARO EFFECT by TV News Desk

Production has begun on truTV’s brand new series The Carbonaro Effect, starring comic magician Michael Carbonaro. The series, formerly titled Undercover Magic, follows Carbonaro as he uses his skills to trick, amaze and amuse an unsuspecting public. The Carbonaro Effect is being produced for truTV by Fields Entertainment and 11 Television, with Simon Fields and Kevin Healey serving as executive producers. truTV has ordered 12 episodes of the series, which is slated to premiere in summer 2014. Have You Heard?… by Maria Ibáñez / February 24, 2014 Greetings, wow, the last week of February already and it seems as though the year has just started, time flies when you are having fun. This week was full of activities for us. Jay and I celebrated our 41 st anniversary this past Monday, we were busy with meetings most of the week and then there were large shows all weekend long. Friday was Storytime at one of the municipalities I work at regularly, then we had a magic get together at our house with about 18 people. Saturday we celebrated Dr. Seuss’ birthday early at another municipality I work at and Sunday we had a “Storytelling in Paradise” event in Hollywood followed by surprise tickets to attend the Wine and Food Festival in South beach. THE YOUNGEST MAGICIAN Magic has a great future in Miami and South Florida if this little one has anything to do with it. Angelo Lorenzo, only three and a half years old has a passion for magic like few others we’ve seen at such an early age. He is the first to pull up a chair and watch very, very closely when others are performing and insists on performing at meetings and get togethers. His wish list for toys is all magic items and he spends, at his own request, time practicing and asking for help on what he wants to learn. This week he asked to be taught “those cups with those balls” and so his father gave him an aluminum set (Angelo wanted professional ones not those plastic toy ones) and a set of plain red balls. After half hour of practice, Angelo asked to dress like a magician (small tux to fit him) and performed the entire effect without help. Yes, his hands are small; yes, he is very young but he performed them admirably and without flashing. There is a 2 minute video of his presentation on the Magic In Miami page on Facebook and if you do not have Facebook, feel free to let me know and we will post the video on YouTube. Keep up the good work Angelo….you have a future. Oh, did I forget to mention? His father is Americo Lorenzo, a Cuban born magician living in Miami…..his Godfather is Alexander Blade the well known illusionist and his great uncle is this year’s I.B.M. and S.A.M. 1 st place and Peoples’ Choice winner, Alberto Lorenzo. There is an old Cuban saying “what is inherited is not stolen” and it definitely is true in this case….he inherited his passion for the art from his family. JEFF BUSBY Final Curtain: Jeffrey “Jeff” William Busby, 59 At his home in Wallace, Idaho, beloved husband, son and brother, Jeffrey “Jeff” William Busby, 59, passed away Feb. 10, 2014. He was born Feb. 23, 1954 in Arvida, Quebec, Canada; Jeff is the son of Colin “Buzz” and Mary (Halasz) Busby. At age seven, Jeff borrowed a library book on stage magic and was astonished to discover, “I could lie and cheat honestly.” Jeff contributed his first article to a magic publication in 1969, a new technique that won the prize for “Best Card Trick of the Year.” By age 17, his sleight-of-hand performances earned him a reputation as a “magician’s magician,” baffling well-known experts with his creations. My heart is very heavy as I share the news just received from Rachel Colombini through Simone Marron. “terrible news. Aldo suffered catastrophic stroke yesterday. Left side of brain dead spreading fast to the right side, paralyzed, no speech, hospice taking over now. It will be just days, nothing we can do. Sorry to have to give you this news. I am devastated – bulletin to be released to magic world tomorrow.” Please keep our dear friends Aldo and Rachel in your thoughts and prayers. Mi corazón esta muy pesado al compartir la noticia que acabo de recibir de Rachel Colombini através Simone Marron.

Have You Heard?… by Maria Ibâñez / February 10, 2014 Greetings, this was a difficult week for us; the 1 year anniversary of the loss of my father, performing a Broken Wand ceremony for one of our local and much loved members, fighting a terrible cold…..just a very busy and crazy week. On a good note, tomorrow our wonderful grandson will be 5 years old and we could not be happier or prouder of the fine young man he is growing into. We drove up to Palatka this weekend for a little get together and cake cutting for him. It’s always a blessing and cause for happiness when we get to spend time with them, even if it’s only a few hours. MAGIC IN MIAMI Carlos Rafael Aguilera a/k/a Carline

Many magicians in Miami came together this week to pay their respects to one of our own who passed away suddenly. Carlos Rafael Aguilera performed under the stage name of Mago Carline. He and his family have a long and rich history in magic and he is one of three brothers, all of them magicians. He was preceded in death by one of those brothers, Yarine, who was also well known in the latin magic circles not just in their native Cuba but also in South Florida. He was survived by his wife and performing partner for over 50 years, Raquel, sons and daughters and a very large family of brothers and sisters including the third of the brothers in the magic field, Genovebo Aguilera who performs under the name of Codine. A broken wand ceremony was performed at the funeral home, at the request of the widow and brother, by Maria Ibáñez, Past President, Society of American Magicians. May he rest in peace.

Congratulations to Alberto Lorenzo on being selected to compete at this year’s I.B.M. – S.A.M. combined convention. We are proud of his accomplishments so far and are in his court to cheer him on with this competition which he has been selected to be a part of, and only fifteen magicians will be selected to do so – this in and of itself is something to be proud of.

SOCIETY OF AMERICAN MAGICIANS SCHOLARSHIPS ANNOUNCED The Society of American Magicians Magic Endowment Fund Presents . . . MAGIC CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS For over twenty-one years, the Society of American Magicians Magic Endowment Fund has awarded full tuition scholarships to promising young magicians between the ages of 10 and 18 to attend facilities focused on the magical performing arts. The S.A.M. has awarded over $125,000 in scholarships over the years to support magic education for our youth. Scholarships are available for either Tannen’s Magic Camp in Pennsylvania (July 12 – July 19) or the Sorcerer’s Safari Magic Camp in Toronto, Canada (August 15 – August 20). The Magic Endowment Fund realizes the importance of the magic arts in the lives of youngsters. The development of magical skills and respect for the art of magic can help them gain a positive mental attitude and become more confident in themselves. Candidates must be able to demonstrate talent and dedication to the magical performing arts discipline. Both camps are wonderful places for youngsters to learn new skills, improve their performance abilities and make new friends with similar interests. The campers study under some of the leading professionals, receive helpful critiques of their performance ability, and attend classes which improve their skills. It is with a sad and heavy heart that I report the magic world has lost another member Carlos Aguilera who performed under the professional name of “Carline”. Carlos comes from a long family of magic performers, all three brothers having a deep love for the art and performing it admirably both back in their homeland of Cuba and here in the U.S. He passed away shortly after having undergone a routine medical procedure and because it was so sudden and unexpected there are no details of services at this time. These will be forwarded as soon as they become available. He is preceded in death by brother “Yarine” and is survived by his wife of over five decades, Raquel as well as a son, step daughter, a large family who is in disbelief and countless friends who loved him. Please keep the family in your prayers as they deal with this unexpected and untimely loss. Es con un corazón triste y pesado que les informo el mundo mágico ha perdido a otro miembro Carlos Aguilera quien realizó bajo el nombre profesional de “Carline”. Carlos viene de una larga familia de magos, los tres hermanos tuvieron un profundo amor por el arte y actuaron admirablemente tanto en su tierra natal de Cuba como aquí en los EE.UU. Have You Heard?… by Maria Ibâñez / January 27, 2014 Greetings, it seems as though New Years was only yesterday and yet here we are almost at the end of January…tempus fugit or time flies is a very true statement. Jay comes back from his trip to New Orleans today and I can honestly tell you that these few days he was away from home felt like a lifetime. Glad he will be coming home this afternoon and that we will have a couple of days together before I head out to Jacksonville for a very special workshop and lecture by the one and only Kenton Knepper. Very excitedly looking forward to that. Speaking about time flying, in just 2 weeks our baby grandson will be turning 5 years old. He is growing up so quickly and has turned into such a fine young boy who is doing very well in pre-kinder and is a great big brother to Jianah. Wish we could keep them small for much longer but there is no stopping time. Until next time my friends, keep a dream in the making for you create your tomorrows by what you dream today. Shayna Reed Shayna Reed has amazed audiences throughout the world. She started performing magic at the age of three. Since then she has been featured in numerous newspaper articles and magazines. Shayna and her two sisters, Jessica and Mandy, were featured on the front cover of the International Brotherhood of Magicians monthly magazine “The Linking Ring”. Shayna and her sisters have performed as the headlining act in France. She has also been featured in a Japanese documentary that aired in Japan for several years, as well as many television appearances here in the United States. Her most prestigious award was winning the World Championship of magic in 2007, which was held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jay vuelve de su viaje a Nueva Orleans hoy y, sinceramente, se puede decir que estos pocos días que estuvo fuera de casa se sentía como si duraron toda la vida. Me alegro de que él va a regresar esta tarde y que vamos a tener un par de días juntos antes de que yo viaje a Jacksonville para un taller muy especial y conferencia a cargo del único Kenton Knepper. Hablando sobre como vuela el tiempo, en sólo 2 semanas nuestro nieto va a cumplir 5 años de edad. Él está creciendo tan rápidamente y se ha convertido en un joven tan fino que lo está haciendo muy bien en pre-kinder y es un gran hermano mayor para Jianah.
