INTRODUCTION Under OSHA 1994 , the workplace must be reduced in its hazard & risk with a systematic manner. HIRARC is an integration tool to identify, assess/measure and to control hazard and risk of any workplace and its activities. By strictly implementing it, it will eliminate, reduce/control the possibility for any accidents to occur- This is also in line with OHSAS 18001’s requirements. PROGRAM CONTENTS 

COURSE OBJECTIVE At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:      

Understand the requirement of HIRARC in OHSAS 18001 and OSHA 1994; Know the key requirements to conduct an effective HIRARC; Be able to define hazard, evaluate risk; Know the effectiveness and limitations of various controls; Understand the hierarchy of control; and Understand how to encourage continuous improvement through the HIRARC process.

TRAINING METHOD Theory, group & multimedia presentation, practical exercise and role-play & evaluation

THE TRAINER Mr. Izil Kamal holds a MBA , B Eng (Hons.) in Chemical Engineering , Diploma in Industrial Chemistry and Certificate in Electrical Process Instrumentation . He has been a Safety and Health practitioner for more than 13 years . He had also attended numerous Train-the-Trainer program from NIOSH & HRDC (PSMB Train-the-trainer) and various risk, safety, technical and management skill trainings. He is also an ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 (QESH) lead assessor and an associate member of IChemE (an organization of chemical engineers based in UK).

Participation in the program is based on a first-come-first-served basis. Cheque made in favour of the “FMM Institute” should be forwarded on or before program date to the FMM Institute, Northern Branch, Bandar Seberang Jaya. Participants, who registered but did not attend, will be billed accordingly. Upon confirmation, kindly send us the payment before the commencement of the program.

CANCELLATION

There will be no refund for cancellation within 2 days prior to the program, 50% for cancellation between 3 – 6 days and full refund for cancellation 7 days prior to the program. Please inform in writing if you intend to cancel. A replacement can be accepted at no additional cost.
