Press release – issued 25 September 2015 2015-82 Hospital workers raise £1,200 for ‘World's Biggest Coffee Morning’ Hereford County Hospital workers raised a mug to the 25th ‘World's Biggest Coffee Morning’ today, Friday September 25, to show their support and help fundraise for Macmillan Cancer Support. Staff at the Macmillan Renton Unit proudly supported the event by holding a coffee and cake morning at Hereford County Hospital main reception today, which was open to members of the public, as well as Trust staff. The ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ is Macmillan Cancer Support’s biggest fundraising event. Lianne Haslam, assistant multi-disciplinary co-ordinator Macmillan Renton Unit at Wye Valley NHS Trust, said: “Our admin team were delighted to organise this year’s ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ at the hospital. We celebrate the event every year. “It was great to see so many people come along and support us to help raise awareness and £1,281.47 for Macmillan charity. We wish to thank everyone for their kind donations of money and cakes including Sainsbury’s Hereford and Cakes and Catering in Hereford. “We work closely with Macmillan Cancer Support to provide services for people affected by cancer, such as the purpose built Macmillan Renton Unit at Hereford County Hospital, which promotes long term cancer care in a modern environment”.
