Hometown Heroes Book

SCHS Hometown Heroes Book about Local Veterans The SCHS compiled over 140 individual stories pertaining to military experiences of South County residents told in their own words or as related to members of their family. Many of these interesting stories were told for the first time and cover the time frame from World War I to Desert Storm with an emphasis on World War II. The stories are published in a deluxe hardbound book entitled “Home Town Heroes – War Memories Through Their Eyes.” The book was intended to not only be enlightening but also to capture and preserve these personal experiences of our local veterans before they are lost forever. The book can be “Hometown Heroes”
