College For Every Student
CFES (College For Every Student) is an organization whose purpose is a combination of mentoring, leadership through service, and pathways to college. High school is only four short years, so the sooner students can begin thinking about post-secondary plans and setting goals, the better off they will be. The Core Team this year consists of: President, Ciara Beegle; Vice President, Ashley Koile; Secretary, Makalah Henderson; Senior Representatives, David Oviedo and Natalee Blaser; Junior Representatives, Bethany Malievsky and McKayla Hess; and Sophomore Representatives, Valente Campos and Brielle Palmer. On September 19, the Core Team met with other schools in our consortium at the Deitch Haus in Delta to plan activities for this school year. The Core Team was excited and had great ideas for the new year! Open enrollment took place the last week of September; however, if you are interested in getting your student involved please contact Mrs. Farnsworth (
[email protected]) at the school as soon as you can. Members are now looking forward to the annual Secret Mentor Week, the String Along and Ice Cream Social, which will take place in October. During this event, new mentees will have an opportunity to meet their mentors in a fun and relaxed environment. CFES is off to a strong start and is looking forward to a fun and productive year!
