SMESEC BUDGET: Project: 5.683,820€ Grant: 3.998, 922€

Small and Medium size Enterprises (SMEs) are an important driver for innovation and growth in the EU. SMEs also stand to gain the most from innovative technology, because it is complicated and costly for them to set-up and run ICT in the traditional way. Taking into account cyber-security, SMEs do not always understand all the risks and business consequences for the development of technologies without the adequate level of protection against cybercrime. SMESEC consortium is proposing to develop a costeffective framework composed of specific cyber-security tool-kit to support SMEs in managing network information security risks and threats, as well as in identifying opportunities for implementing secure innovative technology in the digital market; for this consortium, it is important that SMEs do not only look at cyber-security as an obstacle, but also they understand the business opportunity beyond it. BEA BUDGET: Project: 696.677 € Grant: 117.893 €

The project contemplates the development and integration of technologies for the monitoring and interpretation of the acoustic emissions generated during the normal operation of bogies through a sensor of monitoring, diagnosis and structural forecasting formed by a local device and a asset mangement platform. “Aquest projecte ha estat cofinançat per la Unió Europea a través del Fons Europeu de Desenvolupament Regional (FEDER)”. PARTNERS: Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (Spain), Worldsensing (Spain), Draco Systems (Spain), Centro tecnológico de Manresa (Spain) and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spain)

RADIO-OIL BUDGET: Project: 272.190 € Grant: 36.216 €

RADIO-OIL project aims to integrate radio transducers into the Spidernano product, and thus provide real-time data transmission from seismic streams. So far, a novel communications protocol has been successfully defined for taking advantage of Time Synchronized Channel Hopping (TSCH) techniques. This step forward has made it possible to develop a communication stack that can deliver streams of seismic data to the central control station from hundreds of Spidernano devices, which are deployed in a real monitoring scenario. PARTNERS: WORLDSENSING SL

mF2C BUDGET: Project: 5.440.287,50 € Grant: 5.440.287,50 €

With the number of devices exponentially growing globally, new cloud and fog models are expected to emerge, paving the way for shared, collaborative, extensible mobile, volatile and dynamic compute, storage and network infrastructure. When put together, cloud and fog computing create a new stack of resources, which we refer to as Fog-to-Cloud (F2C), creating the need for a new, open and coordinated management ecosystem. The mF2C proposal sets the goal of designing an open, secure, decentralized, multi-stakeholder management framework, including novel programming models, privacy and security, data storage techniques, service creation, brokerage solutions, SLA policies, and resource orchestration methods. CIPSEC BUDGET: Project: 3.653.723 € Grant: 3.653.723 €

The main aim of CIPSEC is to create a unified security framework that orchestrates stateof-the-art heterogeneous security products to offer high levels of protection in IT (information technology) and OT (operational technology) departments of CIs. As part of this framework CIPSEC will offer a complete security ecosystem of additional services that can support the proposed technical solutions to work reliably and at professional quality. These services include vulnerability tests and recommendations, key personnel training courses, public-private partnerships (PPPs) forensics analysis, standardization and protection against cascading effects. All solutions and services will be validated in three pilots performed in three different CI environments (transportation, health, environment). CIPSEC will also develop a marketing strategy for optimal positioning of its solutions in the CI security market.
