One of the programs available to international students is Broward College's Language Training Program, which consists of four levels of English as

International Admissions Requirements a second language: EAP - English for Academic Purposes. After being accepted to our college, the student will be required to take the Broward (/international/students/Pages/admissions.aspx) College English Placement Test, known as the Levels of English Proficiency exam or LOEP (/admissions/testing/Pages/default.aspx). The

Language Training Program scores on the LOEP (/admissions/testing/Pages/default.aspx)exam will determine which level the student will be placed in. English as a Second Language (/international/students/Pages/englishprogram.aspx)

IMPORTANT: Students planning to apply for the Language Program are required to have a basic to intermediate knowledge of English in order to

INTERMEDIATE READING IV EAP 0420C (3 CREDITS) A high-intermediate level course with emphasis in vocabulary and comprehension.

ADVANCED COMPOSITION I EAP 1540C (3 CREDITS) Course designed to emphasize the mastery of paragraph structure using various paragraph modes and the multi-paragraph essay. ADVANCED COMPOSITION II EAP 1640C (3 CREDITS) Course focuses on intensive practice of various modes in the writing of the multiparagraph essay. Emphasis given to clear and logical development of ideas.
