Following the untimely death of frontman Phil Lynott, Thin Lizzy carried on the legacy in the same name. In 2012, the band decided to reinvent themselves as Black Star Riders, with Ricky Warwick (The Almighty) out front, original Lizzy member Scott Gorham and Damon Johnson on guitar, Marco Mendoza on bass, and Jimmy DeGrasson on drums. While Thin Lizzy still tour sporadically under the original name, Black Star Riders decided to record new material and released their debut album as BSR, All Hell Breaks Loose in 2013, followed by an extensive tour schedule taking in the Ricky Warwick, UK, USA and Europe throughout 2013 and 2014, taking in top festivals along the way. With dates selling out and a well-thought out setlist consisting Interview by Black Star Riders of a half and half show of Black Star Riders material and Thin Lizzy classics, Black Star Riders have taken the rock fraternity by storm. I have been Fiona Elcoat lucky enough to interview frontman Ricky Warwick twice during the recent tours and here you can listen to the second interview. Ricky is the nice guy of rock and roll and has time for everyone. So far removed from Diva as anyone could be yet with his pedigree, this is a rare thing. The future looks bright for BSR and I for one, will be following their progress closely. The boys are most definitely back in town! Recorded on August 9, 2014 Berwick Bandits

Thursday 31st July was a warm summer's evening, just right for heading to Alnwick Playhouse for some funky Celtic music from the Peatbog Faeries. I have been trying to catch up with these boys for the past couple of years and illness and other mishaps prevented it. But now the interview is in the bag and what a nice bunch of chaps they are! The Peatbog Fearies hail from the Isle Of Skye and began life in the local bars but can now be seen playing all over the UK, Europe and Canada to sell out audiences. Yet the atmosphere is still a personal one. The band enjoy spending after show Interview by Peatbog Faeries time with their fans and I was honoured to have a birthday shout out halfway through their set. I describe their music as Celtic Funk.. they describe Fiona Elcoat themselves as a dance band! Whichever way you hear it, the Peatbogs will have you on your feet, dancing the night away (whether Security allow it or not), while linking their setlist with hilarious banter. A jolly nice evening with a jolly nice bunch of chaps! Recorded on July 31, 2014 Phil Grey
