Is this chinese GSM GPS usb car charger tracker supported, "easyway" Forum Sign In
yellow512bbi 2 years ago I came across this on ebay and it would be perfect for rolling out to autos since you simply plug it in the charger. yellow512bbi 2 years ago Hi, it seems like the only info there is on this, is what i had posted from the ebay listing. i didn't know how to set the dns server name on the device? it says that we can dial the sim and it will text a message back with a link to the location on a google map but i want it to send the data to my traccar install not a text message? any thoughts would be appreciated. thanks
Anton Tananaev 2 years ago It should be possible if device supports GPRS communication, but I don't know any details on how to set up this particular device.

Marcovc a year ago Hi, I just got one of those and already regret it ? The instructions are scarce (just what it is posted above) , and it doesn't say what is the device IMEI, how to set the IP of the server the device should connect to, and what should be entered to login at http://www.08gps.com/login.php, which I was supposed to use to track the device (according to some info I could dig in some forum). I don't even know where to start... Anyone had any luck with these? Thanks Marco
Anton Tananaev a year ago Request documentation from the seller. Alternatively you can try to find people who use same device and ask how they configured their devices.
Marcovc a year ago Thanks Anton, I cannot even find the manufacturer. The model name GF-11 also shows no results on Google. I guess I should just forget about it... Thanks anyway!
Anton Tananaev a year ago Where did you buy it? Request documentation from there. If it's not possible, your best bet would be to find matching device by a photo and try to get any documentation for it.

treblig 5 months ago This device works with SMS only, no GPRS. BTW, it's not a GPS but an LBS device. As far as Traccar is concerned it's essentially a paperweight like many pseudo-GPS devices that don't give a mean to set the IP and port. The only way round I could think of is to set up a [SIM800 GSM receiver -> Arduino -> Ethernet] module to receive the SMS from the device and send a proper OsmAnd message to Traccar. But unless you already have the necessary modules and are prepared to program the Arduino, it's not economically realistic.
Anton Tananaev 5 months ago Traccar supports LBS-only devices, but it can't handle SMS location reports at the moment.
treblig 5 months ago Hi Anton, Yeap, LBS or GPS make no difference (short of accuracy of localization), I only wanted to warn potential buyers of the marketing lie concerning this product (and unfortunately many others...). BTW, I'm new to your forum. Great piece of software. Many thanks.
