2/22/2017 - Uploaded the full orchestral version (https://musescore.com/hmscomp/brahms-how-lovely-isthy-dwelling-place-full-score) Show more 7/18/2014 - This chorus is far and away the best known passage from the Brahms requiem…the “hit single” that has THIS SCORE APPEARS IN: become a stand-alone anthem in the church choir repertoire. Of course the remainder of the requiem is no Brahms' A German Requiem Excerpts (set) “also-run”. From the comforting “Blessed Are They That Mourn” to the defiant “Death, Where is Thy Sting!” it is a YOUR COMMENT complete tour de force. My only modifications to this transcription were to increase the tempo a little from the recommended 92 bpm up to 96 bpm and add a little pedal here and there for the piano. The hardest part was to make the voices reflect the desired dynamic levels smoothly for the player. Best recording of the entire requiem is the 1984 Telarc CD by Robert Shaw and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Chorus. COMMENTS

Thank you. My sacred choral transcriptions aren't that popular relative to the others so it's nice to hear that someone else enjoys them.
