Dear Ms. Briley: This letter notifies the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) of the requirement for Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) set forth in the Federal Facility Compliance Order (FFCO) Site Treatment Plan (STP), Compliance Plan, Section 4.0, regarding the shipment of mixed transuranic (MTRU) waste. The information below constitutes the quarterly report of shipments of STP-covered MTRU waste sent to the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) during the fourth quarter of fiscal year (FY) 2016 from July 1, 2016, to September 30, 2016. The U.S. Department of Energy/Los Alamos National Security, LLC, have not shipped waste to WIPP during the fourth quarter of FY2016 as a result of the shutdown of WIPP on February 14, 2014. Table 1 reflects this with the zero total volumes.
