An g elo Merry Christmas to the Quarry family and the regulars here. And Happy 2018 too!

Jim I Watched Quarry-Patterson 2 the other night! Jerry was laying it on him early! It seemed he let him off the hook but did enough early to win! Great battle nonetheless you can tell Floyd respected Jerry and was very careful of his left

JD I DO NOT THINK ANYONE WAS, 2 DIFFERANT SPORTS

An g elo Is anyone really interested in the Mayweather/McGregor fight? I'm mildly curious about how Floyd will win---KO, boring decision, etc. But honestly, really not all that intrigued by this at all.

Posted August 5, 2017 2:22 pm JD oh me too, Could not believe what Zanon laid on Jerry, but it was a bad matchup to begin with, Jerry never looked against guys who, jabbed, jabbed, jabbed! I also remember watching it with my dad, and saying Jerry could still Punch, he still has a chance! Also we saw Jerry injure his chest muscle throwing his left hook, and was a one armed fighter after that! Ritchie Giacetti was instumental in the Quarry win!

An g elo JD: Just more testimony to the fact that at his core and in his heart, he was a fighter. He wanted to rumble. He gave up a lot to put that late round KO on Zanon. I remember watching that fight the night it happened.

Posted July 30, 2017 9:27 am JD Quarry's disaster about his fite with Lorenzo Zanon revisited, Jerry was riding hi, and needing a bout with 6"3" and all reach after 2 1/2 years outta the ring , like Jaylo needs a $1! For his bad showing, yet GUT-CHECK win. Angelo Dundee & Bob Arum were instrumental in getting Jerry fired from the CBS sports spectacular, for he sold the TV fight rigjts to ABC, He was also let go by MILLER LITE COMMERCIALS! citing they only had "retired atheletes!, Quarry was to play the heavyweight champion of the world, in a movie "Matilda" the very Sunday after Zanon in Reno. where he was Let go for facial bruising, Adding to a bruised ego. his second wife Charlie (Arlene Charles) filed for divorce!- Jerry however was still the guest speaker, at they annual Weeblo Scouts dinner, in San Luis Obispo!

Location: Southington, CT. - Posted June 12, 2017 7:51 pm Jo h n Wilkin so n Jim, today driving into work a State Trooper pulled me over. I made mistake and cut him off when he was in my blind spot (my first words to him was how changing lanes IS the most dangerous part of driving). OF COURSE it was mistake! Josie was with me too. And...I picked up a Police Report from the Southington, CT P.D. this afternoon. June 1 Josie had a incident on the property where she is gainfully employed. Two bail agents were searching for a fugative. They wind up catching him next day (according to the report; WE SURE NEVER have anything to do with the....). Anyway, Josie was mislead by these two agents and as she was entering the house to show them she became suddenly freightened. And she asked for identification. SHE THINKS THEY ARE THE POLICE. Then, one of them freakin' reacted frantically towards her. She wound up punched and has a concussion according to the Hospital report. One (1) Officer on duty (Valentine) seen her wound and noted definetly she is struck. But they don't put it in the report (Valentine called to second matter while this simmering). Josie ASK for Arrest and the report says differently. The bonds agent is someone by name of Ramon Hardnett. I have two (2) names on the report 1) Officer I see here (he impressed me the short time we are in proximity) 2) The Supervisor. -&- we went in (me a Josie) together to talk to the big man inside (MasterSgt. Watson. & I think he is a very GOOD OFFICER)(He is quite good with us!). Ask you this: Josie's B'date is 5/19/80. Hardnett they LIST as dob 5/19/73. DO YOU THINK POSSIBLY that is a SIGNAL? You ever encounter such things in your years of Police work? JD! You are not confused of FB ever with YOU KNOW WHO? : )

Jim I Oh man! Thank you thank you JD! I missed those stories so much! I never heard about Jerry and Deacon! Nor did I know Jerry almost got into it with Franco! Thats great stuff! I always did think Jones was very arrogant so im glad Jerry called him Out!!!!!!

Posted June 2, 2017 9:09 am JD Speaking of old stuff, Refeee Zach Clayton, harlem globetrotter, was funnier as a referee, instructions Quarry-Chuvalo, he said he would not stand for any holding and hitting, Thats All Chuvalo did!! that brings me to Commentator Don Dumby, he sorta miffed me, when he did not know what he was talking about. Mac Foster hit Jerry to The left side of his hip with a Right hand, and Dumby spent 2 rounds, complaining about what Jerry was complaining about, Not only is it an illegal punch, anyone who has been hit there, It hurts like hell! Stops your movement, Foreman was notoious for it early in his career, to slow a quick moving fighter down, Other than Dumby should have retired 20 years earlier, And asked Joe Frazier again and again , about Quarry's low punch (1974) Don was the best !!! Albeit he was better than Howie Cosell and MAXIEPAD Kellerman, combined!

Posted June 1, 2017 9:49 pm JD HI JIM I . Was gonna get on these movers ass,but they are tranparent, wished they were here, Did I tell ya about the time Jerry was kick deacon Jones ass? -1969 both on a talk show in L.A. Deacon was talking and fullofhimself, he was defensive player of the year, Said he could be no.1 at anything including boxing, looking at Jerry. Jerry got his irish up, jumped up stuck his finger in deacon's face and Deacon melted, when they came back from a very intense commercial break, Deacon had left the building. Jerry told franco Harris and O.j. Simpson, he'd break their necks at the BOWLING (SUPERSTARS 1974).
