Subject(s) Mendez, Maria L., female, age 31, 722 Lenox Ave., Waukegan IL 60085 Police on patrol observed a vehicle driving erratically south on Rte, 41 and conducted a stop on the vehicle. When officers approached the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Mendez, they immediately smelled the odor of alcohol on her breath and observed she was displaying signs of Summary intoxication. Officers requested that Mendez perform several field sobriety tests, which she subsequently did not complete. Mendez was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, which officers located in her possession. Subject(s) Rodriguez, Danial A., male, age 41, 413 Linden Ave. Lake Forest, IL 60045 Police responded to a 911 call concerning a vehicle crash at Rte. 41 and Old Elm in which a suspect vehicle left the scene. Police located the offender, identified as Rodriguez, at his residence on Linden Avenue. When police spoke to Rodriguez, they observed obvious signs of Summary intoxication and, in their presence, Rodriguez admitted to drinking. Subsequent to the investigation, Rodriguez was arrested for DUI and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident. Rodriguez was transported to the Public Safety Building where he was processed and submitted to a breath test that resulted in a sample reading of 0.256 BAC. Rodriguez was released on bond and given a July court date.

Subject(s) Perez‐Santiago, Adam, male, age 33, 2828 Osage Cir., Waukegan, IL 60087 Police on routine patrol conducted a traffic stop on a white Mazda for speeding. When officers approached the vehicle the smelled the odor of cannabis emanating from the vehicle. Officers’ recovered drug paraphernalia, cannabis, and cocaine in the center console of the vehicle. Perez‐ Summary Santiago was arrested on scene and transported to the Public Safety Building, where police questioned him further. Lake County States Attorney’s office was contacted and Perez‐Santiago was subsequently charged with a class 4 felony. He was processed and transported to bond court for a hearing. Subject(s) Redzisz, Dorta H., female, age 39, 5121 N. East River, Chicago, IL 60656 Lake Forest Police Detectives, in conjunction with Winnetka Police Detectives, were investigating a Forgery case involving fraudulent checks exceeding $2,000.00. Winnetka detectives developed a potential suspect who was an employee of Mary’s Cleaning Company owner and worked in Lake Forest on the date checks were reported missing and fraudulently cashed. Lake Forest Police and Winnetka Police each obtained arrest Summary warrants for Redzisz in Lake and Cook counties. Winnetka detectives located Redzisz, took her into custody, and eventually transported her to the Cook County jail for a bond court hearing. Subject(s) Harvey, Ailyha S., female, age 22, 18900 Kentucky St., Detroit, MI 48221 Police on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a green Mercedes for a moving violation. When officers approached the vehicle and spoke with Harvey, they determined her driver’s license was suspended at the time of the stop. Harvey was arrested, charged with Driving While License Summary Suspended, and transported to the Public Safety Building where she was processed and released on bond. When officers stopped and approached the vehicle, they immediately smelled the odor of cannabis coming from the vehicle. Subsequent questioning and a search of the vehicle disclosed a large glass Summary “bong” with cannabis residue in the rear seating area of the car. Officers seized the contraband and issued the vehicle driver, Lekberg, a citation for Illegal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and a July hearing date. Police on routine patrol in the area of Forest Park located a vehicle parked illegally on Mayflower Road near Spring Lane. Officers observed a container near the gearshift that appeared to contain cannabis. When officers located the vehicle owner and questioned him about the contents of the container, the owner, Zhang, admitted the contents were cannabis. Subsequently the vehicle was searched, and an additional container of Summary cannabis was located along with drug paraphernalia. Zhang and a male juvenile were cited for Illegal Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Zhang was issued a July hearing date and released. The male juvenile was issued a July hearing date and released to his parent.

Subject(s) Speck, Abby R., female, age 19, 1643 Brittney Court, Long Grove, IL 60047 Police checking vehicles at Forest Park Beach observed a black Land Rover parked in a parking space with the driver’s window down. Officers could smell the odor of cannabis coming from the open window and when officers approached the vehicle, they observed drug paraphernalia in Summary the vehicle. Officers spoke with the driver, Speck, who admitted to the paraphernalia, as well as a small bag of cannabis that was located in the vehicle. Subject(s) Unknown Police responded to the 800 block of Oakwood Ave. after receiving a 911 call concerning a stolen car. Officers spoke with the homeowner who stated sometime overnight persons unknown entered his rented Toyota Camry, that was left unlocked and parked in his driveway, located the Summary keys left inside the car and subsequently stole the vehicle. The vehicle was last seen by Deerfield Police driving southbound on Rte. 43 at Lake Cook Road. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle but the offenders fled at a high rate of speed and any pursuit was cancelled. No suspect information is known at this time and the vehicle is still currently missing. When officers approached and spoke to Summary Carter, they determined Carter’s driver’s license was suspended. Carter was arrested, charged with Driving While License Suspended, processed, and released on bond with a July court date.

Police located Peiser, Lowenbein, and Johnson on scene: all three appeared heavily intoxicated. Police located water bottles that Summary contained alcohol in their possession. All three subjects were cited for Minor Consumption of Alcohol and given July court dates. Police contacted a parent who came to the location and took possession of the three females. Subject(s) Cain, Princeton, male, age 24, 29 Campus Road, Lake Forest, IL 60045 Police responded to a 911 call at Lake Forest College on a reported domestic incident at a faculty housing location. Police located the female victim who stated she had been a physical altercation with her husband, Cain, and, as a result of that altercation, officers observed she had a busted and bleeding chin as well as several marks and bruises. Officers located Cain on campus and he was taken into custody. Officers Summary interviewed both parties and, based on the evidence at hand, the Lake County States Attorney’s office was contacted and charges for Domestic Battery were approved against Cain. Cain was processed and held pending transportation to bond court in Waukegan. His next court date is June 13, 2018 at 9:00 am.
