Joel Bjorling Intro to Telugu 24 March 2014 - Published on Amazon.com Format: Paperback Verified Purchase This book is part of a series to teach Indian languages, including Tamil and Sanskrit. They present a lot of information, but not a systematic way to learn it. For me, Telugu script is difficult to read, moreso than even Arabic (which can be quite a challenge). This book, really, is more a handbook than a text. One person found this helpful.

There aren't many resources available for learning Telugu here, but there have to be better ones than this. Pronouns aren't presented until page 95 and even then subject pronouns and possessive pronouns are mixed. One person found this helpful.

Living Abroad Passable 7 May 2012 - Published on Amazon.com Format: Paperback I'm currently living in India and was dismayed when I saw the price on the back of the book, which was a little over $1. That's what it sells for here in India. It's a struggle to find decent texts on local languages here, but if you can, keep searching. The book is not very user friendly, and the print is faded, smudged, and difficult to read. Obvious that it was printed in India as well. The book is helpful if you have someone nearby to practice with, but otherwise it'll be a long haul learning solely from this resource. 5 people found this helpful.

The didactic of the book is obviously not of the XXI century... and again... the first chapter requires three months with full dedication...
