LG Nortel IPECS LIP8008 Set Quick User Guide Making a call Lift handset and dial 9 Or Press “line” key Taking a call If your phone is a ringing phone, simply lift handset to answer a call. If another phone is ringing, lift handset and dial 7 followed by the extension number which is ringing (“Directed Call Pickup”) Or Dial 566 for “Group Call Pickup” Transferring a Call While connected to a call, press the “trans/pgm” key and dial the relevant extension number. When the extension answers, hang up and the call will be transferred. Parking a Call If your system is set up for call parking, while on a call, press one of the Park Keys. The park key will flash on all telephone sets. To take a call off park, simply press the flashing park key. Call Forwarding and Voice Mail To forward your telephone to another extension or to your voice mail box; Lift Handset and press FWD key (left hand soft key under screen) Dial one of the following digits; 1. 2. 3. 4.
for Unconditional forward (immediate call forward) for when extension is busy for when you do not answer a call for busy/ no answer
Followed by the extension number that you want to forward to or 620 for voice mail E.G. to forward your telephone immediately to extension 105, lift the handset, press FWD key and dial the following; 1105 and hang up. Your screen will show “FORWARD TO 105(U)”. E.G. to forward your telephone on busy no answer to your voice mail box, lift handset, press FWD key and dial the following; 4620 and hang up. Your screen will show “FORWARD TO HUNT 620(BN)” To cancel Call Forwarding, lift handset, press FWD key and dial # Note; you must firstly record a greeting into your Voice mail Box before you can Call Forward to it. To do this, lift the handset, and dial 620. Enter your password (Default is your extension number followed by *) Follow voice prompts.
To listen to and delete Voice Mail messages If you have voice mail messages, your message lamp will be flashing. Press the “MSG” “ key and using the volume key, scroll down to VSF MSG. And press OK. Follow voice prompts.. Speed Dialling Speed dialling is used by programming the telephone number into a “bin” number. There are 20 personal speed bin numbers per telephone set (from 00 to 19) and 800 system speed bin numbers (from 200 to 999) which everybody shares. These bin numbers are named so that you can scroll down to a name and dial the relevant person. To program personal speed numbers; Press Trans/PGM key and then SPEED key. You will be prompted on the screen to dial the lowest available bin number (00 to 19). Dial 9 followed by your telephone number. Press the “HOLD/SAVE” key. Using the numerical key pad ( as you would with any mobile phone ), enter the name of the number and press “HOLD/SAVE” To use your personal speed numbers Press SPEED Key twice. Dial 2 for PRIVATE DIRECTORY or 3 for PUBLIC DIRECTORY. Use the Volume key to scroll down to the name and press SEND key.
