" I am a 66 year old female and I knew there was something wrong with my right hip. My GP referred me to Mr Rao and I was lucky to be seen within a few weeks. I was x-rayed, and an appointment for pre-op and admission for surgery was made on the same day! My surgeon, Mr Rao was fantastic. At the outpatient appointment, he talked me through the X-ray and explained that the cartilage of my hip joint had worn away; I could also see the bony growths that the pressure of bone on bone had caused. He talked through the hip replacement surgery and was very professional and thorough. I really felt it would take ages for me to feel better, but I persevered with my exercises and every day there and I was off my crutches in less than a month post op and was walking pain free. I AM NOT IN PAIN and back to dancing which I love – WHOOPEE. I can’t thank Mr Rao enough. "
