Herbaria in Indonesia 1. Herbarium Bogoriense (BO) Cibinong Herbarium Bogoriense is located at the Cibinong Science Center (CSC) in Cibinong, on the land area of 160 hectares. On May 22, 2007 Herbarium Bogoriense moved to a new building in CSC with new facilities from the previous building at Bogor. Herbarium Bogoriense (BO) housed enormous collection nearly in total 2 million of herbarium specimens. It is considered as the biggest botanical resources in South East Asia and a representative station for researchers from around the world who work on Malesian flora. One of the most important historical collections is that of Johannes Ellias Teijsmann (1813), which came with the growing collection in Bogor Botanical Garden. Currently BO has 31 staffs with different taxa of interest, and supported by three different laboratories, i.e. molecular systematics lab, plant systematics lab, and cryptogamic lab

Index Herbariorum Indonesianum and Directory of Indonesian Taxonomists Two books which relate to local herbaria in Indonesia and Indonesian taxonomists had been published by Research Center for Biology (RCB) in connection with Indonesian Plant Taxonomy Association (PTTI).
