elanie’s college experience has exposed her to food justice and other community development issues, therefore , she aspires to have a career in either the non-profit sector or in policy-making. She recently completed a year of study abroad in both Nantes, France and Cameroon, Africa. She conducted research on the impact of microfinance and entrepreneurial training on women’s empowerment. This research experience cemented her desire to follow a career helping those who are facing poverty and injustice.
