1. Model Drills (Latihan) Model drills adalah suatu model pembelajaran yang di rancang untuk melatih siswa tentang bahan pelajaran atau materi pembelajaran yang sudah diberikan atau di jelaskan oleh guru. Dalam model ini siswa diberi sebuah permasalahan atau pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang harus di pecahkan oleh siswa, kemudian komputer akan memberikan respon atau memberikan umpan balik kepada siswa atas jawaban yang telah diberikan oleh siswa. hal ini bertujuan untuk melatih siswa agar mengerti terhadap bahan pelajaran yang telah di ajarkan oleh guru mata pelajaran. Dengan model drills ini siswa dilatih terus menerus dan untuk meningkatkan kemahiran siswa sehingga siswa akan lebih muda memahami materi yang di ajarkan oleh guru. Model ini menggunakan prinsip latihan terus menerus sehingga menjadi kebiasaan bagi siswa, siswa diharapkan akan ingat terhadap materi pelajaran yang telah diajarkan. Model ini hampir sama seperti guru memberikan pekerjaan rumah kepada siswa, Selain untuk menjadi kebiasan, kemudian guru memberikan respon atau umpan balik, namun dalam pembelajaran berbasis komputer, balikan akan segera diberikan pada masin-masing siswa sehingga siswa tahu dimana letak kesalahannya. model ini juga dapat menambah kecepatan, ketepatan, dan kesempurnaan dalam melakukan sesuatu. Model ini berasal dari model pembelajaran Herbart, yaitu model asosiasi dan ulangan tanggapan. Model drills merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran yang bertujuan untuk memberikan pengalaman belajar yang lebih nyata kepada siswa karena model ini menyediakan latihan-latihan soal yang bertujuan untuk menguji materi yang telah didapat oleh siswa dari materi yang telah diajarkan oleh guru melalui latihan mengerjakan soal dengan cepat. Melalui sitem yang ada didalam komputer kegiatan pembelajaran dilakukan secara mistery learning, maka guru dapat melatih siswa secara terus menerus sampai siswa dapat mengerjakan soal secara benar sehingga siswa mencapai ketuntasan dalam belajar. Latihan yang di berikan guru bertujuan untuk melatih ketrampilan komputer para siswa dalam mengoperaskikan komputer terutama dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang dilakukan. Dalam latihan ini siswa dibiasakan menggunakan komputer seoptimal mungkin sehingga siswa dapat memperkuat daya ingat dan tanggap terhadap materi pembelajaran yang telah diterimanya. Hal ini dikarenakan dengan menggunakan metode drills siswa akan secara cepat dapat memperoleh penguasaan dan ketrampilan yang diharapkan. Selain itu siswa akan memperoleh pengetahuan dari komputer karena didalam komputer siswa juga dapat belajar berbagai macam hal dengan aplikasi-aplikasi yang ada pada komputer dan dengan belajar dengan komputer siswa dapat menanamkan kebiasaan-kebiasaan belajar secara rutin, disiplin dan mandiri. Siswa juga dapat belajar secara mandiri melalui internet. 2. Flowchart model drills Flowchart atau bagan alur adalah bagan yang menunjukkan alur (flow) di dalam program atau prosedur sistem secara logika. Bagan alur (flowchart) digunakan terutama untuk alat bantu komunikasi dan untuk dokumentasi. Untuk menuangkan konten dan sistem pembelajaran berbasis komputer kedalam program CBI dilakukan melalui bagan alur (flowchart) model drills. Hal tersebut dilakukan agar alur kegiatan yang di tempuh dengan model drills tampak jelas. Flowchart berupa alur dalam bentuk kotak-kotak dialog yang memiliki makna dan arti tersendiri.
