Skin Moisture Prevention Mold needs moisture, warmth, and fuel to reproduce and grow. The human body is an optimal place, as our body temperatures are high, and our skin is made of biodegradable, slightly porous material that mold spores love to attach onto. If your skin has too much moisture, it will be the perfect environment for mold growth. This has not been vetted by a health professional, but it may help you if you are dealing with a mold outbreak. Treatment needs to be done for at least 4 weeks daily for it to work completely.1. Make a mix of 1/2 witch hazel, 1/4 distilled water, and 1/4 apple cider vinegar. Use this on and around any areas of skin having issues. Apply with fresh cotton swab or cotton balls. DO NOT DOUBLE DIP!!! Meaning if the cotton swab/ball has touched your skin, you do not dip it into this mixture because it will contaminate it with the fungus. Use morning and night after washing face and allow to dry completely before using any other products. 2. Make a sea salt scrub by filling a small glass jar that has a tight closing lid about 1/2 way with sea salt. Pour olive oil on top and let it penetrate (stir a little if you need to), till all the salt is moistened, but not swimming in oil. Use once or twice a week before bed by taking out a bit with your fingertips and rubbing it onto affected areas. Scrub-a-dub-dub, rinse thoroughly with warm water and apply witch hazel/acv astringent. Once again, don’t double dip. If you need more wash and dry your hands thoroughly before getting more from the jar. Keep in mind that: – using products like makeup can reinfect you repeatedly so you might want to lay off makeup during treatment (if you use any) and replace it afterwards – lotion can spread it around so probably a good idea to not do that during treatment either (if you can I would try Rose’s suggestion of coconut oil as a moisturizer during treatment if you need it, extra virgin) – Also throw away any loofahs or scrubbies (sorry :-(), or anything else you use on your body regularly. – For the 4 weeks you undergo treatment you need to use a new, freshly laundered wash cloth. – Also, add acv or white vinegar to everything you launder in hot water, about a cup per load. Internal Treatments In some cases, topical mixtures just will not permanently rid your skin of mold growth. In these cases it is entirely possible that the growth is more than just a “fungal infection on the skin.” Other measures may need to be taken. A diet lifestyle change may be the best option. Eliminating completely yeast, sugar, and wheat. Trying a yeast cleanse while stopping from eating any more yeasts. Consuming a Pau D’Arco tincture daily Drinking a glass of cranberry juice a day.

Conclusion Mold is sneaky. It can grow quickly in the most inappropriate places, and one of those places just so happens to be your skin. Mold on skin is no joke. It can cause symptoms such as redness, swelling, itching and pain. If left unattended, mold on skin can create serious complications. Prevention is always best when it comes to preventing mold, but because it is sneaky, you may find yourself in a situation where mold has snuck into your life. I am so interested in this topic as the strangest thing happened to me a few years ago. I had been having skin reactions daily, specifically to the area around my eyes, then one morning I woke up and in the corners of my eyes there was a brown discoloration that continued to spread for a few days. The discoloration has persisted and I went to several doctors who were no help at all. I finally did a little research of my own and realized that it was mold related. Needless, to say it is the most persistent and somewhat difiguring ailment. Although, I am not constantly ill , I know my immune system has been compromised. I immediately started using Selsun Blue to my face and the itching stopped after a few applications, but the discoloration is still noticeable. It is very depressing, because I get many mean comments from people ranging from ” You need to get some sleep” to ” Have you ever been arrested for doing drugs?”.

We have what I believe is the first stage of what could be mold or possibly mildew. My sink was dripping for some time and underneath was dark – maybe brown or black. We had been spraying the area with bleach and water. Then one day I got mad and decided to clean up the area. I didn’t have gloves so I used plastic bags on my hands and I wrapped my nasal area with a scarf so I wouldn’t breath in anything. However, when I stopped cleaning there was some dirt or residue on my arms. Can I expect I was exposed? If so, how do I prevent any adverse reactions.

About 3 months ago, as IZ wasx washing my left ear out with a washcloth, I felt what I thought was a dirt or wax build up inside the first fold of my outer ear area. Cleaning one finger nail of debris under it, I used it to try and scrape the debris out. When I felt the area with the fleshy part of my left index finger, it felt like I had been successful; but a couple of days later, as I was inspecting the area again, I felt a large bump. I asked my wife to look at it with a magnifying glass. She said it was a very large moldy bump. And she said, evderyday, its bigger. What can I do with a mold spore inside an ear?

I have been living a nightmere. Since last November. I had a skin irritation that I would mess with when nervous and I was working 13 to 15 hours per day. I accumulated more dust than I probably should have at home. I didnt know this could happen. The worst part is my husband thinks I am crazy and making things up and that I am just going nuts. He told me I needed help and that he wanted his wife back. The first thing that happened was that I had a bump that would just move around my face and look so gross, then I noticed when I showered the water couldn’t get cold enough. My ankles would swell and sometimes my arms and my stomach would get so bloated my chlothes and shoes didnt fit. I was eating a diet of straight sugar and soda or anything I could grab on the run. Now it all makes sense but then i just thought it was stress related. I even act weird. I cannot keep a thought together and my relationshiop is falling apart. The problem is now its getting worse. Every food item that is in the house is unsealed beore i unseal it or I will put things in zip lock and I go to grab it and its open. Is that possible? I try to eat when my husband is here so he doesnt baker act me or something but I instantly get diarehha and bloated. Sometimes my ankles get stiff especially if I am cleaning all day which lately is all the time. My son is an ac tech (who also thinks I am nuts) and went up into the handler and said it was covered with mold. He dumped tons of bleach on it and when he turned it back on and for like an hour I felt like my old self. Then right back to my worn out yucky self. It’s bad enough for me but the worst part for me is my dog. It looks like every step is so hard and now that i am putting it all together it makes sense. She also started getting bump on her head and like these horseshoe shape marks on her skin. Its breading my heart. My husband explained this one by saying “she is getting old” she is 4 for goodness sake. I will only drink water from water bottles but sometimes that doesnt even help. my dog rarely eats because whatever it is gets in her food and water. I cannot take it another day. I swear I am living in hell. Oh and my pool area seems like it never dries and i see this white slime like substance in the skimmer and it attaches to the dead bugs . Ugh So now I wont swim. I am starting to be able to tell where there are by feelingz my dogs skin. The hot areas are the ones that are hurting her and the only thing that help is when i wipe her down with rubbing alcohol on a wash cloth. I do laundry non stop and am curruntly not working so i am in this house all the time with my dog. My husband asked me “why is it just you that this is effecting?: UGH…..I told him “because you work two jobs and one of them is a 24 hour shift 3 times per week and you dont clean do laundry or shower here. I dont know what to do and no one believes me and it hurts but right now I need to put my feelings aside and figure something out. You know its bad when your dog gets “stung or whatever it is and she comes to me whining and looking up at me and refuses her treats….then I know its time for a alcohol wipe. Please help us

To those having to endure skin issues along with their dogs I do have a few suggestions. First, put your dog on an all meat diet. There are many websites out there that can give you tips on this diet but it is basically feeding them raw (it’s easier but cook it if they won’t eat it) meat. I noticed a huge difference in my dog that had been struggling for two years with this skin condition after only two days of a purely meat diet. Next, use any of the above mentioned natural skin products and start taking a good probiotic that will have writing on the box indicating the gel coating will help the bacteria survive the stomach acid. Eat a high protien diet and you can use coconut oil with other oils in your cooking. I use coconut oil on the hot spots on my great dane and the beautiful part is that it doesn’t burn and any that she licks off can only help her on the inside. I have even cooked some of the dog’s meat in coconut oil to add in the benefits that the oil provides. You are not crazy and you are not gross or unclean and deserved this in any way. All you can do is research and trust your gut when you know something isn’t right. Ignoring the problem to make others comfortable will only make things worse. Trust me, I know from experience. Don’t feel the need to explain anything to those that thought it was in your head, just let the results speak for themselves and wait for them inquire how you solved the problem. Thinking outside the box isn’t for everyone but for YOU make it a daily mantra! Good luck!

Something is landing on my arm every night just as I’m ready to go to sleep, I have not seen anything, and tried everything , even raid spraying. About a month ago I fell asleep in my bath tub(which six ppl use, big household). I woke up went to bed and figured I would wash off next day. I did, but by evening time I had developed a rash behind ears(which had been itchy for about 3-4 days before) and many brown moldy spots over my whole body. The spots then multiplied and have been since. My face even has them. All my skin folds have dark moldy looking lines in them. Could this be mold? Also during that time my tongue has turned white(fuzzy film cover). Does that mean it’s internal as well? I have also developed a dry cough(just 3-4 times day, bit definitely new). Does this sound like mold/fungus or something else. I have taken many hot baths for just as long b4 but never had that reaction b4. Very confused.

My problem started Sept 2012. I had a staph infection on my scalp. Then shingles all over my face, both sides, then impetigo. Still having rashes on my face and skin folds. I am single and live with my small dog and want to date but look terrible. My condo is old built in the 40’s and was told one neighbor had mold and the other one scabies. I have been to the dermatologist so many times. Even paid to see one whom didn’t take my ins. for a second opinion. No answers. I have fluid lumps on my scalp that if i push on it a sticky liquid comes out. My nipples are leaking, facial pores stuff coming out. Ears always dirty when I clean with q tips after showers. White gunk in the corners of my eyes and loosing hair. Skin now cracking open on bottom of toes and heels. My dog is only 2 and can’t get on the bed or couch anymore. He is an 11 lb dog. No new food and he has no fleas b/c he’s on comfortis and take him to be groomed regularly. He shakes his hair like he’s trying to shake something off. It looks like a red pin sized scab under my skin on my face and if I pull it off with tweezers it bleeds a lot. I have to use a big mirror to see these spots. I am also getting brown spots near my eyebrows and noticed my skin doesn’t come back out when I use tweezers. It stays dented in. I have also gained a lot of weight in the past 9 months, more then I have ever weighed in my life. Diet hasn’t changed. I have a low immune system too. I started taking a lot of vitamins been to the health food store and tried all kinds of stuff such as worm wood tincture and tea tree oil, coconut oil. Please help! My face is getting scared. I know I have some type of mite or parasite. I feel like something is biting my toes when I sleep or like I have an ingrown toe nail but I don’t. Also, had my dog scratch my shoulder where I had surgery at the beach in a sandbar witch is stagnet water. That was before the staph infection when it first started. There was a hole in the top of my scalp the size of a pencil eraser! I think this is were it all started. I was getting bit by horse flies and masquitos. I am really scared b/c when I went to the hospital they admitted me to the physiatric ward b/c they think I was seeing things I had a headache and was throwing up clear stuff with particles in it and my stools were floating and had some red blood and looked like worms in it too. So, now I am labeled t!!Someone please help me!!

How do I know if I have mold or my dog? I own my condo and can’t afford to pay to get it removed b/c I heard it was expensive and am planning on moving soon too and want to be able to sell it. My neighbor across the hall has it and my building is old, built in the 40’s. What can I do? Getting rashes and bad insomnia too. My dog can’t get on the bed anymore or the couch and he’s only 2! I just left a blog from Tracey about an hour ago about my problems I was having about staph inf, shingles and impetigo and left out a few other symptoms. Not only white gunk in corners of eyes and rashes but brain fog, looks like cashews in stools and eyes twitching and very bad insomnia. Also, pinky toe nail turning black from the moon part up. Skin peeling off around finger nails and on face but white things popping out of pores on face! White things and eyebrows growing fast and brown spots on skin. White on corners of mouth and gums receding so quickly I have to get another bridge, witch I can’t afford. I also was just diagnosed fibromyalgia. I am going crazy trying everything I can. Mostly stuff from health food stores. Creams Dr’s give me help my face sometimes but fingernails have never helped a bit! My skin is cracking on bottoms of toes and heals and bleeding. I have a small dog that is 2 and can’t get on the bed anymore and couch. He’s on comfortis and is groomed regularly and has no fleas and is up to date on all his shots but shakes his fur like trying to shake something off and scratches too. I had rotater cuff surgery and they took out 2 inches too much bone and finally had to have a donors tendon put in and when I was healing he scratched my wound at the beach and I couldn’t swim so sat in sandbars in stagnet water and wound up with a staph infection. A hole in the top of my scalp the size of a pencil eraser and my hair stared coming out then to get shingles witch was on both sides of my face and all over my scalp and finger tips and then impitego then some kinda excema. I have my skin folds bleeding all the time with skin peeling and harding and like tiny pin sized scabs. These red pin sized places under my skin on my face only seen in a zoomed in with magnifing glass can i pull out with tweezers that bleed terribly. And then when I put in toilet they move. You can only see with a magnifing glass. Please help. It’s been going on since Sept 2012 and my face is scarring terribly. Neighbor had scabies and other has mold also, I am on 2 floor, top floor and we had field mice in attic and lots of birds and squirells around too. The woman with scabies didn’t ever have her place sprayed. We have carpeting in out hallways and they have two indoor/outdoor cats too that are not on and kind of flea or meds or had shots or been to vets ever! I am not able to sleep due to such bad insomnia that I ever had! Also,weight gain and on disability from my shoulder so spend a lot of time inside. Also, tought my dog to use a pee pee pad when I had surgery and sometimes he misses the pad with his poop on the carpet and have walked barefoot but he’s had all his shots. I’ve been reading everyone’s stories and that are so similar to mine. My life changed dramatically after I was treated with a number of different antibiotics for a so called staph infection. That was five years ago. After many doctors and a few years of research, being put in a phychiatric ward (because I was feeling and seeing things…lol), I finally found a doctor who was really willing to help me. I HAD SYSTEMIC CANDIDA. Now, if you look this up on the internet and read the symptoms, I honestly think this might be what your dealing with. It does take some effort and time to get rid of it but within the first week of diet changes, prescription medicines and alternative medicines, I feel like I finally have my life back. The black dots could be a type of fungus. Have you looked up ring worm? Did you take all of your belongings with you when you moved? That could be why you are still feeling sick. I took most of my things and I know I shouldnt had. Are you sure theres no mold in the new place?

TRACEY! You have to have demodex mites. Email me for directions to naturally get rid of them. The white things popping out of your pores is the mite itself. There are two types and if you have this, you most likely have both. One lives in your hair follicle. That is the one you see. If you’ve ever tried to pull one of these lil buggers out with tweezers, I’m sure you had to work hard at it and it probably bled afterwards too. The second kind is the one that lives In your sebaceous glands just underneath and connected to your hair follicle. That’s where the female lives and lays her eggs. The reason they get worse at night is because the mites are nocturnal and that’s when they mate. I own my condo and if I have it tested for mold I would be responsible for treating it and don’t have the money. My ceilings and walls are cracking like crazy they are plaster b/c they are remodeling the condo downstairs from me. I also have a small dog and don’t want him to get sick. Karen, I have been having scabs all around my finger nails and seeing specks on my clothing and also holes and tears in clothing too. My dog is on comfortis and has never had fleas and he is scratching all the time. My scalp is lumpy and feel fluid under scalp too that is in a different place all the time. I wake up at nite with joints aching so bad! Does this still sound like the demodex mites? You can call me b/c I am going crazy and afraid to tell anyone because I though it was bedbugs but had a few people come out and said, no bedbugs. I went to the dermatologist a year ago when it started and he said to quit picking and it wasn’t anything but didn’t do a skin scraping and the lady downstairs in my condo had scabies and never did any treatment and rode in my car to church and I see things in my car now too. She also cleans the hallways in our complex and uses her vacuum. My neighbor across from me has bedbugs I was told and mold. I am afraid if I have mold I can’t afford to have it removed and if they say I have it I would have to tell if I sell it. I want to move but don’t want to take it with me whatever it is. It started after a surgery and a open wound in the sandbars at the beach and think I got something from the stagnet water. I am sick of being sick and in pain! I in tears, after months and month of hell and endless hours of research, I found this website. I’m not crazy! Reading Karens story, is my life almost to a T. Day in and day out I live a nightmare. It’s to the point I don’t want to be wake up most mornings. I’ve tried everything! Even on my second round of oral lamisil, 500mg a day. Some improvement in my nails but they are not what they use to be 6 months ago. My hands also have the little white things coming out of the skin, and a chalkiness reside falling out of the skin around this blister like thing. Some have a black dot in the middle others have a bright orange one. My right eye switched occasionally now it’s all the time, my left eye started doing the same about 2 months ago and my chin. Yesterday I looked in the mirror and all 3 were going at it like a damn symphony. To make matters worse my 2 year old pug itches like mad. I’m at a loss. Doctor thinks I’m some sort of psychotic junkie. Won’t help won’t look at me just tells his nurse to refill my meds. I hope this can led me to not feel like I want to die any more. i live in a tropical country so humidity is always high,anyways.i have this mold fungus growth on my finger and sole of my feet that ate into my flesh,its like spreading deeper and deeper into my flesh.my solution was using white vinegar,i soaked the infected part of my skin for about 2mins and it soften up the mold,after that i literally dug it out(dead flesh) including the the black strands of black color mold.it was disgusting.it left a hole in my sole and finger,i applied disinfectant and now waiting to see if the mold grows back or if i am cured of it.

My Husband and I just started a renovation on our first floor and I have been having allergic reactions. it started with a extremely bad head ache with a fever then itching on my skin, my ears, eyes, face, my head, and my genitalia area. Also, every time I tough the dust I feel needles and itching on my hands. A week after these symptoms began I began getting hives on my stomach and legs that oddly do not itch. I explained to the doctor that I thought it was mold related but she said it was a viral infection, but I know it is a mold issue. The head ache and fever went away after two weeks but the itching and hives continued. I looked up “How to Kill Mold On Skin” on the internet and I found that Hydrogen Peroxide KILLS MOLD WHEN APPLIED FOR 10 MINUTES. Using a cotton ball or gauze soaked with hydrogen peroxide held on the itchy area. Doing this, I now have the itching down to a minimum. It keeps coming back as I clean the dust from everything in my house. I now wear rubber dish washing gloves most of the time and try not to touch my face. I am considering seeing an “Environmental Doctor” I have read that they treat people who work in mold remediation and therefore are trained in mold, fungi and bacterial issues and the affects on the body. At first my husband thought I was making it up but then I told him that the itching was so bad that I was seriously considering getting in my car and driving away and not coming back. He has now changed his tune however he is not taking the required precautions when he is working on the area being remodeled. I am going to take his to a mold remediation and consultation company to educate him on the dangers of his actions. I have asked him to stop construction until spring when we can open all of the windows for air circulation. We do not have central air conditioning or heat. I have purchased two air purifiers with a HEPA filter and a UV-C light for the mold issue. In addition to the air purifiers I am showering and washing my hair both at night and in the morning, changing my bed sheets every two days. I do not wear any article of clothing more than once in between washes. I use hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle to clean everything. I am still dusting continuously with a damp cloth not to kick up any dust in the air.

I have simalar issues with skin and scalp. Can remove bugs, wormlike things, even live flies have come out of my scalp. Ive moved four times, gotten rid of everything. They are on me so they come back. Live with as little as possible so all things can be cleaned often. Get rid of papers, books, things hanging on walls. I have had some luck with Spinosad sprayed in my house. Spray everything then leave the house…be very careful of slippery floors. I use Captain Jacks Deadbug from Home Depot. Carefully use it on your scalp and body. Do not drench yourself in it because who knows what problems it can cause. Start with your scalp, its probably the most infected. Use a small amount on areas bothering you the most. If it helps, do a little more the next day. Be careful of eyes…use medicated eyedrops if they are in your eyes. Keep spraying your house and opening windows and leaving. You can also try Transport Mikron insecticide in your home….NOT ON YOUR SKIN? Switch back and forth spraying your homen so they dont become immune. Put these products in a mister or rent a whole house fogger. I also recommend Natures Gift Debriding Soap to wash with and to spray your house with. This one is food grade and can be sprayed on literally everything and you can wash all parts of your body with it including inside nose, ears, private areas. YOU MUST CLEAN OUT YOUR CAR. Replace car mats with rubber ones. …vacuum extensively including the ceiling. Spray daily with Natures Gift…it wont hurt you to breath it in. REPLACE YOUR SHOWER CURTAIN. Buy a new easy to clean rod and a cheap shower liner. About three dollars. Use nothing else and buy a new curtain every month. They breed on the water and growing mold on your wet shower curtain. Use a handheld shower head and after your shower use good hot water to wash down all surfaces including walls and inside of shower curtain. It will dry faster and remove what just jumped off of you. Clean hair from drain and flush it then pour bleach down the drain. They breed in the drain pipe. Do the same for your sink. Use dollar store kitchen towels for bath mats and throw away weekly. Wash hair with Neutrogena T Gel shampoo…also soak your clothes in it while doing laundry. Use a hair conditioner that does NOT smell like flowers or contain botanical ingredients. Use black walnut extract (liquid) on your most stubborn itching areas. Keep fighting…dont give up. Good luck.

My entire family has been complaining about being itchy… about a week ago, I noticed a pink mold on our windowsills.We live in Alaska, so, our windows are often frozen shut for a while, and then melt enough to open and get fresh air. I have had a staph infection since the birth of my daughter… (a C-section). but I think that this mold is affecting us all. HELP!?

I noticed I had a rash on my bottom in December last year. I could not figure out what caused it until a week later when black mould appeared inn my bathroom. I have tried using antiseptic creams at night after my shower and things got a little better. I noticed that it has spread from one side to the other so I never use the same towel twice and really do not know what to do next as it is still there. Hi all, My teenage daughter and I fled a mold infested home 5 months ago, I knew there was a mold issue but did not think mold was causing the scalp, skin, and anxiety issues we (mostly me and our dogs) were experiencing. There are insects that feed on mold and fungus, the tiny flying “gnats” are drain flys or moth flies that do breed in drains and in our soggy back yard aftet a particularly heavy rain spell. They lay eggs in the drains and unfortunately in the house. Fungus gnats ate a different species but same M.O…..fungus gnat larvae are almost clear with a black head. To hell with what the dermatologists, entomologists, and other professional “ologists” say..those little bastards bite..and they infested my furniture, clothing, shoes, pantry food..everything! Dust mites and mold mites added fun to the party! I had weakest immune system and mold from the house took hold of me the worst..hence the insects were attracted to me the worst. At the time I simply thought I was losing my mind..Things are much much better healthwise at new house. I believe we brought some of the mold here with us but daily cleaning and keeping ourselves and dogs clean(selsun blue and Head and shoulders are great), diet modifications to get rid of internal mold/fungus are essential for humans and pets. Borax and Diatomaceous Earth are 2 things I couldn’t live without now. I left out a lot of specifics but just ask, I will check back

Oh yeah, and went to ER twice..dermatologist treated scalp infection but treated me like a nuisance when I inquired about insect activity in relation to mold skin issue. ER docs sent me home with sedatives and Delusions of Parisitosis diagnosis. Whatever. Learned to research and deal with things myself. Too many othets out there with similar issues for a doctor to tell me I was “imagining” it all. There is hope..really! Don’t give up.

I accidentally touched my tongue after handling Seeds from an old gourd on April 23rd. I could feel like bacteria spreading on my tongue Within seconds! I flushed mouth with tap water, Held some “Listerine Whitening” mouthwash In my mouth for over 5 min.. (Contains: 8% alcholol, peroxide , sodium phosphate, & more). I then brushed my teeth & tongue with Crest Complete tooth paste & gargles with scope. Didn’t feel anything future on tongue. No soreness, redness anywhere & feel fine. On April 26th, I noticed some soft tissue from Inside mouth coming loose. I know mold grows in moist, warm areas & What better way to get into my blood stream Quickly. To my knowledge I am very healthy, Except for a little blockage in caroid artery (take Fish oil for this) & I take synthroid medicine. (Killed thyroid with iodine pill in late 1970’s). I am having a battle too. Right now the whole town is calling me crazy. First if you are yeasty, vinagar can control. Get rid of the yeast in your house…that may be a problem if other family members like bread, ect. Clean your house with vinagar. I am even going to use on carpets… walls too.

Royce Hi.. I don’t know what I have but it sounds similar to what your describing. It seems that I have been infected through my whole body. My dog cats & possibly my pet pig may have it too. My husband & kids seem to have a few skin changes but me & the dog & 2 cats seem to be most effected. Though I have got most things people don’t get, when I’m visiting humid places I’ll be attached by mosquitoes while no one else has 1 bite.. So my skin is changing, with weird circular spots & black & white specks pop out Occasionally,my sheets have them as well after I sleep, I get new mole looking things- but they were not there before.. If I grab them when I first see them them I’m ok but if not it seems to burry in my skin looking like a new-mole. My husband thought it was in my head till he helped me put on a borax scrub and saw the stuff coming out of my skin.. I have went to several drs and they have prescribed me anti parasitic creams & pills – or they tell me I’m crazy the meds don’t seem to help long. I have found a few things to elevate the irritations for awhile – but not long. Also at night I seem to get bitten in certain places & it seems to Tavel- can’t see what’s biting me but I can see my skin reacting..I have recently been putting off spray on to avoid being bitten.. My immune system is super low I can tell. I am also on a trial drug – which I think lowered my immune system -due to lack of sleep & weight dropping.. Anybody who thinks they have a problem with mold, mildew, humidity etc., should try putting DampRid around their house or apt. I even had dripping ceilings, fuzz on clothes, etc. a couple of years ago but that all stopped when I put DampRid in my bathrooms and closets. There is a kind you can hang up on a rod, for closets.

I would try empson salt baths, head to toe. Benzoyl peroxide,but always use a moisturizer after benzoyl peroxide or it will dry your skin out. One more thing I would try for hair, rubbing alcohol with few drops lavender oil. Make sure you ask your doctor if it’s ok for you to try. safety first. Good luck

Hi ?,We have been struggling with mould since last year where our unit was washed out,unbeknown to us we didn’t realise the dust was actually mould. I have lymphoma and was on treatment so I naturally thought it was from my low immunity,not be just one diagnosis. A friend told my carer”get her out of there if she dies ill kill you” so we had to file a household claim and we are still eating as water damaged the unit first,then the mould came. Laying in bed I could feel my nose clogging with powder like and my mouth was as though I had dust in it,the spots on our arms went from a slight scratch to like a crater and the rounded scars are like indented,I have been vomiting again and my hair is like it has a film of dust,earaches,headaches,brownmarks near the eyebrows and hair line.It is making us so ill,I was told not to move anything to my brand new unit but the renovalist bought some of my things here and dumped them horridly on the balcony.We are in Australia and insurance companies like to take our premium but do not like to pay,its disgraceful. The property managers would not help,they would not move us and so we couldn’t live in the unit for months,our skin is just so damaged and the mould appears to be continuing. Also look into the parasite collemboli they are infesting homes from mold and moisture and are extremely hard to get rid of, and along with it are the invasion of bitting mites and lice, read the articles on invisible bitting, mites, collemboli ,erge the CDC to take action against surging unexplained disease #petition and from invisible bitting mites in your home. Has anyone else had serious problems with their eyes? I have had both eyes and sinuses filling up with what looks like tree sap and salt. It was pouring out of both eyes. At one point, there was shiny pink stuff coming out and coating my eyelids. I have never seen anything like this before. I have a small rash on my forearm and my husband has had a horrible rash on his forearms. I have washed my eyes out with and eye wash, but I can feel my sinus cavities filling up again. They have become swollen all the way to my ears. No one else in the house has problems and the small dogs are healthy, no fleas or ticks. The doc said husband had staph, but never tested it. No health insurance, can’t afford private insurance. Any ideas?

Michelle & Crystal, hello, hope all is well with you both, as well as everyone else on this thread who is dealing with a skin condition that is emotionally disrupting, makes you seem crazy to others who do not suffer with it, and not to mention being miserable from the itching. It has been quiet some time since the 2 of you were on here, so this may never make it to you! Maybe someone else will see my post and know something too though! However, I called you 2 out because #1, as you said Crystal, #2, Michelle has explained her story and I too felt as though I was looking in the mirror! Only the situation gets a little bit more negative I think with my story, and only because my husband is already a Not So Supportive kind of better half, and he has criticized me for nearly 10 months and accuses me of being on drugs. I still have not quiet sure figured out what hurts the most, the actual health issue with the symtoms and all, or the fact that your husband is suppose to love you and be there for you and instead he criticizes you and also tells others you are on drugs, your a pill head, you are digging your self to your own death bed! I have always been a pretty strong, stubborn, hardworking person, and all this criticizim has really taken a toll on me. I feel like giving up, I am ashamed to go to work (i do work in a different small town however) but for fear cusotmers will think these same bad thoughts about me. I have always been a person who worry’s about what others think of me. Not neccessarrily in all aspects, but you know I want to be considered a lady …. a mother who dresses like a mother, a socialble drinker rather than a drunk, but now, as I am falling apart, I feel like just running away and becoming a drunk. I recently did start using some drugs, but I already realize that is not the answer, and I have stopped using drugs. I realized the drugs only made me happy while they lasted, and BAM, reality hit again!.. Please….Help me!!!!! Today, this area in the left area of my chin, just under the left corner of my mouth, it feels like this small knot, (which I can feel if I press my toungue against the inside of my lip, I can feel the hard round small ball.,….but the little blister like sores, which are painful and itch way way deep down in my jaw bone, .,anyway this blister feels like it really wants to exit my face today! I hope it does. It has moved and moved, leaving trails of streaked scars. I have been to the Dentist first, how sent me to have a wisdom tooth removed, so then the oral surgeon for that, who all agreed was a abcessed wisdom tooth. The area continued to have open lesions, which again appear to be blister like sores, and usually just 1-3 at a time. I then made a visit with my doctor, who said i had herpes, (which he referred to as fever blisters) which nothing he gave me or suggested worked, then back to dentist who determined it to be shingles just from my symtoms with the feelings of neuralgia. Now I have this feeling in my ear that is sort of like a ear infection I guess I could call it, but jt feels like it would feel when I have swollen glands with a slight sore throat from sinus trouble! ….I am so sorry, its so confusing, the list of issues go on and on and on! But speaking of the swelling, I too had swollen up and gained 14 lbs of fluid at one time! Talk about miserable! has anyone researched allergic reaction to carpet beetle larva? i have all these symptoms plus some and am miserable. at the derm now which will be a waste of time. i have a 7 month old son and i cant.deal with the prickly itchy bug like feelings and the spots and scars that im not picking at. nobody understands and im so tired of it. ill see what the doc says today but im literally close to going to.a mental hospital.

Hi all. I have been dealing with similar stuff now for over 5 years and the past 6 months having SOME success. I THINK it all is related and can be treated as any parasite. If you are desperate. Which we all are. And serious then do a complete body detox. A good start is the hulda clark. Start with bowels and liver then move on. After each area is detoxed the swollen glands should start to go away. These are from a build up of toxins and the body cannot eliminate toxins if this system is clogged up. The liver needs support as well. Here is what i have been doing. First.. Diet Diet for cure: eat only veggies and fruits. Coconut oil olive oil. Garlic some nuts, flax quinoa. Eggs and beans are good protein. Fish may be ok as well. Papaya, lemon and apple cider vinegar. Honey cinnamon, turmeric, ginger, cayenne. Load up on these in your food. Look up parasite cleansing diet and paleo diet….BUT THR KEYS IS NO SUGAR…. They love mucus so no milk. Really trust me. I have tried to cheat and i suffer for it… The cleaner the food thr better. Non gmo and organic. If you cant do that look up the clean 15 veggies. These are ones tested to be the cleanest non organics. Herbs and supplement: Colon herbs.. Search for more. Sippery elm. Selenium. Flax seed, and colon cleansing herbs fiber. Followed by epsom salt or castor oil. Olive oil 1-2 tbsp Rotate with parasitic herbs…(mold and fungus is parasitic and sounds like most of us have more than mold issues and insects spread these parasites.. Think of malaria.. Hopefully not so bad) black walnut, cloves and wormwood. Diatomaceous earth. Activated charcoal. Baking soda. Boron ( a pinch of 20 mule team borax is cheap) For parasites Coconut oil, papaya seed, olive leaf extract, neem, Liver and kidneys: fresh squeezed lemon in water daily. Milk thistle. Dandilion root. Apple cider vinegar. Glands: licorice root apple cider vinegar. There is a start.. Its called moms stuff… But you can make your own if your into it. You kind of become your own healer after a while and it only makes sense to make your own as it can get expensive. I also make my own tinctures for $1.00s instead of $15.00 for a tini bottle. Add any herb to vodka or everclear and soak it for 6 to 8 weeks. If needed immediately make a tea with some and soak the rest. Also apple cider vinegar can be used to make tincture and ready in a matter of days. So for the immediate needs use acv. Ph balance plays a key… But really diet is first… NOTHING WILL WORK if your body cannot eliminate these toxins.. I am now able to add grass fed beef and organic chicken. Oh and my husband just recently syarted work in mold remediation and last week i flooded my basement and he found mold as I had suspected after living here 2.5 years. Now landlord isnt going to fix it so we are planning to move. But the key here i found is Thyme oil. My husband uses Benefect Botanical Disinfectant in a fogger. , you can diffuse it and clean with it, to kill mold for his job… It kills mold. And i have been using it on my rashes as well. Also cream of tarter will kill mold in body.. Sorry i left that out before. Hang in there be persistent and dont give up. We can allow God to heal us with all the amazong things He has given us. Thanks for listening. We are not in this fight alone. Fyi the cream i mentioned can be bought. Its expensive but works. Its called moms stuff made out of Utah.. Blessings. Jill

I live in a house filled with toxic mold Monday I went to the doctors with mrsa again and a skin infection well the doctor put me on clyndamicin for mrsa and diflucan pills for a yeast infection well what happened next I went home took meds what happened next mortified me to death with in less than 30 minutes I was shedding mold spores not even things what I had was mold I knew something was not right I began to feel better after spores were flying out of my body ok well I Googled mold and your skin and found out that what I had for months was a mold infestation inside and outside my body I decided at that minute I was going to go back to the doctor and tell them this whole time it’s been mold well it was really hot and humid Monday I was sweating really bad I didn’t feel good started shacking couldn’t control anything so I went back to the doctors office in just a couple hours time I lost 10 pounds of water weight I told my doctor it’s mold that’s my problem inside and out she kept me on my meds changed when I take the last diflucan pill sent me home with a doctor’s note to call health department and request a mold inspection well that instant it dawned on me my house is filled with mold I’m mold inside and out I have never been so mortified in my life the health department has to call the state to do an inspection then I had to tell my landlord this was the response I got well that leak has never been fixed I thought u guys fixed it well no we told u to and u never did I have to wait 9 days for a mold inspection to be done what can I do do I have a valad legal claim to file on my landlord since I have toxic mold poisoning what can I do to rid my self of mold inside and out I know my stuff has to be professionally cleaned I would much rather salvage what I can and leave the rest I can’t stay here with me being so sick I have to move and soon fast my health depends on it my body can’t handle another 10 pound mold shed it will probably kill me can I make my landlord help me move because of my health do I have a legal claim and most of all what can I do to get this mold off me and out of my system when I do move my fiance has mold my dogs have mold I could really use some suggestions please help my life has been ruined by mold in less than 3 days and it’s only Wednesday

I suffered from a mold rash for 7 miserable months before determining it was a mold rash. I went to 7 dermatologists; none who determined it was mold. I finally had home tested, after thinking i was being attacked by mites or maybe poison ivy. Remediated the mold, rash gone. Millions of people think they have bugs crawling on them but its MOLD!!. The best way to sooth the itch and get rid of the rash (i spent hundreds of dollars on creams, essential oils, and the list goes on and on) is to buy a removable shower nozzle so you can spray directly different parts of your body; turn up the temp on your water heater; and take as hot a shower as you can tolerate without burning yourself. The heat rushes blood to the area; along with white bloods cells, neutrophils, etc. fighting the mold; and it soothes almost to the point of ecstasy when you are itching that badly. Its the ONLY thing I find that works. Spread the word. People do NOT have microscopic bugs on them. Its mold!!

I started suffering on Dec 19 2015, when I woke up around 12:00am my mouth was extremely dry and my tongue was extremely WHITE, I tried drinking a few bottles of water that didn’t work, I went to the hospital later that morning and was told that I was completely fine, A few weeks went by and my mouth was still dry despite the many bottles of water I drank. Next I started sweating in certain areas (arm folds, behind the knees, under breast, and butt) every night I would wake up with my pants soaked from sweat, the weekend after Christmas my left arm started itching and was really dry no matter how much lotion I put on it them it spread to my whole body my face would get really red and inflamed when I would wash it, I would wake up with red spot on me, my temperature seemed to be a bit elevated, when I would wash my hand they would get really red on the palms, and not I am constantly ashy and dry where as my skin use to be very moist and my hair breaks off at the root and now my daughter and fiancé and getting the same symptoms. PLEASE if anyone has had these same issues HELP if you have some insight.

Hi all. I have been dealing with similar stuff now for over 5 years and the past 6 months having SOME success. I THINK it all is related and can be treated as any parasite. If you are desperate. Which we all are. And serious then do a complete body detox.

Hi, I have some information that may be useful. The mold I have looks dark red to me but I’m sort of colorblind. It starts in dots but can quickly form a sheet covering the whole wall. Up to this point it looks like the algae I used to get in my reef aquarium before I got the lighting right. In addition, some dots form a larger mass that either falls to the ground and breaks into pieces or forms. It also sometimes shoots out white things that look like sesame seeds (spores?) but one at a time. It leaves behind what I believe are filaments but what I guess patients with Morgellons have told doctors were maggots (mold does have filaments but doesn’t have maggots). Anyway, I had a problem with fleas and that’s how much of this came about. I was looking at the mold which suddenly got bad after we got a lot of rain and thinking about how much it looked like the algae (Cyanobacteria, actually) in the tank I used to have and then I went to look up the life cycle of the flea and several of the sites said something about a stage where the flea is encapsulated and a flea colony. I was on day 4 of a migraine so my brain when algae colony = flea colony and now I’m a bit embarrassed about that. Anyway, salt kills fleas but they have to actually touch it for it to dehydrate them so salt went everywhere and the red sheet melted away from everywhere the salt was touching but it didn’t take care of all of the fleas. My neighbor gave me some diatomeous earth and it worked for both the fleas and algae, too. Then I had a couple of migraine free days and realized it would be a good idea to check behind floor boards and appliances and in all the other nooks and crannies. That was pretty horrible and the trim may not be going back on but I dumped salt on all of it and cleaned up what remained after the salt dehydrated it down to almost nothing. Then there was nothing left to do but bomb and I used Hot Shot Fogger with Odor Nuetralizer. Some of the gelatinous masses, which I was begginning to realize had nothing to do with fleas still remained so I scrubbed them with bleach and water. After I washed all the clothes with hot water and vinegar but that was for the fleas. I used a spray bottle of bleach and water through all of this, too. The next day everything looked fine but after sitting in my computer chair for a few minutes I started feeling stings so I got up and sprayed some deep woods off on it (it was the first thing I found). hundreds of what looked like tiny worms poked out of the fabric and stayed straight up swaying. I freaked out and put some anti lice shampoo, which was the 2nd thing I found, on my back. and everything went insane. It felt like a bunch of worms were coming out of my back and then I looked at my arms and saw lots raised bits that looked like worms coming to the surface and then large openings which spores eventually came out of so lovely way to start the morning. Up until that point I had been slightly worried because the mold seemed to congregate where I was but then I realized that I was carrying it around but that wasn’t more comforting. I have a young daughter so at that point it became my mission to eradicate the stuff from the house before she got home. To confirm it was a fungi I grabbed a very old tube of Athlete’s Foot cream (Tolnaftate 1%) and a fairly new bottle of fungicide 3 (neem oil). The cream worked but took forever. The fungicide took care of the problem quickly but I ran out so I got some Nice! Mold and Mildew Stain Remover from Walgreens (Sodium Hypochlorite) and it worked well. When I ran out of that I went back into the storage cupboard and in the very back found and old bottle of API Liguid Fungus cure for aquariums (.4% Acriflavine and 1% pvp). This worked very, very well and now all I see is the old stuff, dried up, stuff. I’m definitely not ruling out there being morefurther in the cracks and etc that hasn’t surfaced yet, though. Nothing is dropping on me or shooting spores at me so that’s an improvement. When the liquid fungus hit one of the areas where the large pores appear on me, however, it triggered the stuff under my skin to start pushing our spores, though, and that went on all night. It also flared up everytime I entered an area where I hadn’t killed all the spores. I kept waking up in pain from the spores all night long (you can feel them coming out) Anyway, I’m feeling better and have no wish to be diagnosed with Morgellon’s so I’m giving it a day. If I still have it tomorrow, spike a high fever, or still have problems tomorrow I’ll go to the ER but I’ll be at the University talking with a research professor Monday. There is no reason anyone should be telling me this in in my head since I can actually trigger it with 2 of the chemicals and people can see it.

YSBETH: Exactly. I am so glad someone else has seen how this, likely mold, coils and spreads along a wall. Like you said, in skin, or bedsheets, it’s a couple of dots that then spore like crazy. I have never seen anything move so quickly. I just have to deal with the particulates. It’s quite surreal, on your skin. One has to look incredibly closely, or be somewhat colorblind, as you said you may be. I have tried to pick this up on camera. It’s easier to see on bedsheets than on skin, unfortunately. Thus, it looks like mites. It’s not, however. I am starting to be treated for mold colonization.

This fungal infection is very common. it can be transferred from person to person very easily. The treatment for ringworm depends on its location on the body and how serious the infection is.
